Ms. Lamphere's advocacy for cannabis dates to her college years, having authored several papers supporting marijuana legalization due to its health benefits. This commitment became deeply personal when her daughter was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at age 16. After conventional medications proved ineffective, she explored alternative treatments with CBD and THCA under medical guidance, resulting in significant improvements for her daughter. Motivated by these results, she collaborated with industry professionals to create beverages infused with beneficial cannabinoids.

Due to Ms. Lamphere's steadfast efforts, Maine Coast has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from an initial launch in 25 stores to distribution across 1,200 retail locations throughout Maine.
