SCHERTZ, TX, October 31, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth Schneider, CALT, LTD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Schneider has distinguished herself as an expert in the field of dyslexia and reading intervention, dedicating her career to helping students overcome learning challenges and reach their full potential. Since 2023, she has served as a dyslexia therapist for the North East Independent School District (NEISD), marking the culmination of more than two decades of service to the district. In her current role at the campus level, she provides specialized literacy instruction through evidence-based programs such as Take Flight and Reading by Design, supporting multiple groups of elementary students in developing essential reading and language skills.
Beyond her on-campus work, Ms. Schneider also extends her expertise through virtual therapy and tutoring, providing structured literacy instruction to students in diverse locations. Her ability to connect with learners both in person and online reflects her adaptability and commitment to meeting students' needs wherever they are.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Schneider served as a dyslexia teacher from 2022 to 2023, providing targeted interventions for students identified with reading difficulties. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly two decades as an instructional intervention teacher, identifying learning gaps and applying data-driven, evidence-based strategies to promote academic growth. From 2013 to 2022, she also served as her campus's response-to-intervention coordinator, managing intervention services and monitoring student progress to ensure timely support for struggling learners. Ms. Schneider began her teaching journey as a third-grade teacher from 2002 to 2005, establishing the foundation for her lifelong commitment to individualized instruction and student success.
Committed to lifelong learning, Ms. Schneider earned her master's degree in special education with an emphasis in dyslexia from Midwestern State University in 2024. Completing this advanced degree represents one of her proudest accomplishments, especially given her own early struggles with reading throughout elementary school, middle school, and college. Her personal experiences continue to inspire her deep empathy and dedication to students facing similar challenges. She also holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University (2002) and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT).
Ms. Schneider remains active in the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA), where she stays engaged with colleagues and emerging best practices in structured literacy. Her commitment to educational excellence was recognized in 2021 when she received the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching at her elementary campus.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Schneider supports community causes including United Way and several animal rescue organizations.
She credits much of her success to the encouragement of her mentors, Mrs. Middleton and Mrs. Resendez, whose guidance and passion for reading profoundly shaped her career path. Ms. Schneider also expresses deep gratitude to her parents, George and Cathy Schneider, for their unwavering love and support.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks—especially psychological thrillers, romance, and historical fiction—watching movies, and spending quality time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. Looking ahead, Ms. Schneider plans to continue her work in dyslexia therapy, with aspirations to expand her involvement in private and virtual literacy instruction. Her career reflects a steadfast devotion to education, perseverance, and compassion that continue to guide every aspect of her work.
