Mrs. Johnson currently serves as a Senior Project Manager at CDW, a role she assumed in 2025. She oversees a diverse portfolio comprising of medium-large complex projects in addition to several smaller initiatives, each supported by dedicated teams. Her cross-functional leadership encompasses both internal stakeholders within Integrated Technology Services and external client engagements, where she provides strategic oversight and ensures responsiveness to evolving needs. She also plays a key role in mentoring fellow project managers, emphasizing effective communication, strategic alignment, and thoughtful delegation.
Her journey with CDW began in 2019 as a contractor through Apex Systems. By August of that year, she transitioned into a full-time Project Manager role, quickly gaining recognition for her ability to manage complex projects. Her consistent performance led to her promotion to Senior Project Manager in 2025. Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Johnson has demonstrated exceptional skills in risk & crisis management, multitasking, and team leadership.
Alongside her position at CDW, Mrs. Johnson has been serving as an Independent Psychotherapy Consultant with Another Spring Counseling Services since 2022. Based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, she offers individual and family counseling during evening hours, drawing on her expertise in social work to support her clients.
Her professional experience also includes work as an inpatient case PRN at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (2024–2025) and a six-year tenure at MedStar Health (2013–2019), where she progressed from Patient Services Coordinator to Administrative Coordinator at the Simulation and Education Training Laboratory (MI2). There, she supported medical education initiatives in partnership with Georgetown University Medical School and later served as a Project Coordinator.
Mrs. Johnson is an active member of the Association of Social Work Boards, the National Association of Black Social Workers, and the Project Management Institute, where she earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2022.
Her educational journey is a testament to perseverance and dedication. After graduating high school in 2005, she pursued higher education while working full-time, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2016 and a second bachelor's in legal studies in 2018, both from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She later completed a Master of Social Work at George Mason University in 2022, with a concentration in children, youth, and families.
Mrs. Johnson holds multiple certifications, including Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (2025), a Master Social Worker license from the State of Maryland, and a national certification in mediation from the National Association of Certified Mediators (2018–2020). She has also completed various LinkedIn Learning credentials in leadership, communication, and project management.
She attributes her success to her faith and is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. Her philosophy centers on the belief that success is personal and unfolds in its own time, encouraging others to embrace their unique paths and commit to lifelong growth. Mrs. Johnson warmly credits Dr. John R. Yosaitis, MD, as the person who saw something in her early on recognizing her strengths and encouraging her to step into the world of Project Management. She also holds deep gratitude for Dr. Joshua Okundaye, PhD, whose guidance and mentorship helped shape her into the compassionate and skilled therapist she is today.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Johnson sponsors a child in Tanzania through World Vision and enjoys attending church, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her leadership was recognized with CDW's CEO Award in December 2024 and she was also previously honored in Who's Who for Sports in 2005.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Johnson recently enrolled at Gallaudet University to study American Sign Language, with the intention of offering interpreting services within her church and providing therapeutic support to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. She remains deeply committed to driving positive change and serving communities with compassion and purpose.
