Dr. Gitelson, the president and chief executive officer of MTIIC Corporation, is distinguished for her longstanding tenures in international affairs, nonprofit management, humanitarianism and consulting. In addition, she is a highly regarded author, having written numerous scholarly articles and books whose impact has been felt worldwide. Holding several concurrent appointments throughout her career, Dr. Gitelson is also the president of International Consultants Inc. With effective collaboration at the forefront, she has always emphasized the power of teamwork and acceptance of cultural diversity, values that have propelled her to succeed.

Adjacent to her work at MTIIC Corporation, Dr. Gitelson has lent her expertise to academia, having served as an assistant professor of international relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which bestowed upon her an honorary degree in light of her selfless, pioneering work in 2004. Likewise, she has served as national vice president of the American Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a board member of the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at Hebrew University. Furthermore, Dr. Gitelson was the director of international affairs and the third world at the World Jewish Congress and a board of trustees member of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy and the National Institute of Social Sciences.

In 2012, Dr. Gitelson penned "Giving is Not Just for the Very Rich: A How-To Guide for Giving and Philanthropy," an acclaimed book that discusses equitable and accessible methods of making charitable contributions to others. In addition, "Giving is Not Just for the Very Rich" details several examples of notable donors, leaders in nonprofit management and entrepreneurs whose valuable contributions have promoted social change. Her autobiography, "A Zest for Life, A Concern for Others," demonstrates her affinity for humanitarian aid and understanding of the human experience.

In light of her success, Dr. Gitelson has sponsored many accolades, such as the Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson Award for Human Values in International Affairs at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), the Columbia SIPA Gitelson Policy Forum, and the Truman (formerly Gitelson) Peace Prize.

EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS
Dr. Gitelson has amassed numerous degrees from Columbia University. First earning a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College of Columbia University, she subsequently obtained a master's degree in international affairs from the Columbia University SIPA and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
