From 2018 to 2019, Ms. Napoli worked as a mental health counselor at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, specializing in substance abuse counseling within the Suboxone clinic. Her responsibilities there included providing essential support to individuals struggling with opioid addiction as she drew on her extensive training in substance abuse treatment.

Ms. Napoli's earlier experience includes roles at Project Renewal, where she served as an intake coordinator from 2017 to 2018 and as a case manager from 2016 to 2017. In these positions, she managed client intakes and provided case management services, further developing her skills in crisis intervention and psychological assessment. She began her professional career as a teacher assistant at the Puerto Rican Action Board in 2013, where she supported educational initiatives and community engagement.

She earned a Master of Arts in counseling, mental health and wellness from New York University in 2016, following a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in Italian and Spanish at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2013. Her academic journey began at Middlesex College — where she completed coursework after relocating from her native Venezuela to the United States in 2007 — as she gained a broad perspective on human behavior and multicultural competence.

To augment her knowledge while meeting rigorous state standards, Ms. Napoli is licensed as a mental health counselor in both Florida and Minnesota. She is also certified in motivational interviewing — a technique that supports client-centered change.

Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Ms. Napoli attributes her success to her proactive nature and drive to explore the underlying causes of trauma and human behavior. This innate curiosity has guided her toward holistic therapy, where she integrates eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy and Flash Technique into her practice. Ms. Napoli's deep commitment to service extends beyond her professional roles. Since 2016, she has volunteered as a substance abuse counselor at Weill Cornell Medicine, providing support to individuals in recovery. She also volunteered at Weill Cornell Medical Center / Midtown Center for Treatment and Research from 2015 to 2020, contributing to community-based mental health initiatives. Her civic engagement includes serving as an assistant of social work at Trinitas Regional Medical Center and being an active therapist with the Headstrong Project, a veterans-oriented organization that provides post-traumatic stress disorder treatment for those in need.

Ms. Napoli's dedication to community service began during her years living in Venezuela, where she participated in various organizations through her Catholic school education. She has volunteered in prisons, offering emotional support to women and their children, and visited senior citizen communities to provide companionship and assistance.
