Currently serving as vice president of marketing and player development at The STRAT Hotel Casino & Tower, Mr. Polk has carved a prominent career in gaming, hospitality and marketing. In his current role since 2022, he manages all facets of marketing and player development. Creating the vision for media purchases, programing advertising campaigns, social media, billboard placements, database marketing, profitable special events, the VIP calendar, etc. Responsible for overseeing eight concentrations within his division. Translating corporate strategies into actionable property-level activations, he leads teams through creative and analytical meetings, prepares detailed reports and presentations for C-suite executives, and regularly engages team members across the company to invest in the desired culture. He also responds to hundreds of emails each day, reflecting his deep commitment to communication and customer service excellence.

In addition to his current role, Mr. Polk has served as the director of player development at M Resort in Henderson, NV for 5 years, arriving in 2017. There he infused the market with unique programming, revitalized the player development team and continued to home in on his voice in marketing and relationship marketing. From 2015 to 2017, he held the same title at the company's location in Columbus, Ohio, building relationships with high-value guests and driving revenue growth through innovative programs. He began his tenure as the director of player development from 2013 to 2014, during which he implemented strategic initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Mr. Polk's experience as the manager of VIP hospitality at Horseshoe Southern Indiana — the culmination of nearly four years with the organization — allowed him to oversee premium guest experiences, coordinate high-profile events, and increase market share. He was promoted to senior executive casino host in 2010 after serving as an executive casino host for a year, during which he cultivated key client relationships and contributed greatly to the property's success. During his time with Caesars Entertainment, Mr. Polk's department enjoyed record breaking employee engagement numbers, and he earned the Chairman's Club Award for community service.

Earlier in his journey, Mr. Polk excelled as a casino host at MGM Grand Detroit for seven years, during which he helped shape the casino marketing team and was pivotal in opening a brand-new resort and spa in his hometown. His outstanding contributions at MGM saw him honored with the Diversity Champion award in 2007 as well as MGM Grand Detroit's Shining Star award.

Throughout his career, Mr. Polk has been recognized for identifying and developing nontraditional leaders within the hospitality industry. He takes pride in mentoring and developing individuals from diverse backgrounds — including a sushi chef, a mortgage title company owner and a carpet cleaning business owner — guiding them into significant roles as director of player development, vice president of casino marketing and regional director of player development, respectively.

Mr. Polk's professional accomplishments and leadership have earned him distinctions such as inclusion in Who's Who African American Profiles and recognition through the Leadership Louisville and Ignite Louisville programs. He is active with the American Marketing Association's UNLV Chapter, serving as a mentor and panelist. He also served on Louisville, Kentucky's Strategic and Social Planning Committee and the Advisory Panel for the Ohio Department of Education's MBA research. He continues to seek new ways to help and inspire others through everything he does.

Dedicated to the ideals of lifelong learning, Mr. Polk successfully obtained a bachelor's degree in biblical studies from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2019 after his coursework in public relations and advertising at Ferris State University. He credits his academic achievements with providing a strong foundation and unique prospective for both his career progression and leadership style.

Also known for his civic engagement and community service contributions, Mr. Polk leads community relations efforts for The STRAT Hotel Casino & Tower. He has been involved with several non-profit organizations including Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, WaterStep, Metro United Way, Make-A-Wish Nevada, has served in a leadership role- planting a church in North Las Vegas and works with the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Polk attributes his success to hard work, focus, determination to listen and learn, creativity and prioritizing people above all else. He has clear goals, morals and objectives and works hard to maintain the human aspect of human resources. Treating people well and earning their respect has been central to his professional ethos.

Outside of work, Mr. Polk cherishes spending quality time with his family, traveling and serving at his local church. He shares credit for his success with his wife Regina, whom he considers his best friend, confidant, business partner and north star throughout their nearly two decades of marriage. As their three children continue to make him proud every day, he regards being a father as one of life's greatest and most rewarding experiences one can have.

Guided by a personal mission statement that prioritizes faith, family and leadership, Mr. Polk aims to inspire others — especially those from underserved backgrounds — by demonstrating that success is attainable through perseverance, creativity, courage and hard work.
