In this capacity, she leads the design and facilitation of impactful learning programs across multiple Commercial Underwriting business units, collaborating closely with senior leadership and underwriting teams. Ms. Wechsberg creates and delivers continuing education and professional development initiatives that align with business strategy and drive organizational performance. Her approach combines deep technical expertise with a passion for helping others build confidence, strengthen their skills, and achieve success within their roles.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Wechsberg was a Middle Market Underwriting Learning and Development Consultant at The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. from 2023 to 2025, where she was responsible for designing tailored training programs for both middle market and small commercial underwriters and ensuring alignment with current industry knowledge and best practices.

Ms. Wechsberg began her insurance career at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in 2008 to 2023, holding multiple leadership roles within learning and development. Between 2013 and 2023, she played a pivotal role in creating and delivering training initiatives across commercial lines underwriting and the agribusiness sector, where she developed specialized programs and content to meet evolving business needs. Her expertise in commercial lines underwriting was further demonstrated during her time as a commercial lines underwriter from 2015 to 2016, where she developed a deep understanding of underwriting processes and risk assessment. Her early years at Nationwide were marked by progressive responsibilities in training and development, laying the foundation for her later learning and development success.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Wechsberg worked with the YMCA of the USA, where she provided CPR, AED and oxygen training, as well as lifeguard and swim instruction. This experience sparked her interest in adult learning and laid the groundwork for her passion for curriculum design and facilitation — a passion that has guided her ever since.

Ms. Wechsberg's academic background includes coursework at Wake Technical College and professional certifications that underscore her commitment to lifelong learning. She holds the Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) designation from The Institutes Knowledge Group (2024), the Certified Practitioner of Human-Centered Design from LUMA Institute LLC (2024), and multiple credentials through Kirkpatrick Partners LLC in Strategic Evaluation Planning and Learning Effectiveness (2022). She completed the LX Talent: Mentoring that Matters program through NovoEd in 2025 and is currently pursuing the Adult Learning ATD Master Performance Consultant™ Program. Additionally, she is a certified herbalist.

Ms. Wechsberg believes that hard work and dedication are top priorities, along with the importance of staying relevant through continuing education. She attributes some of her success to the great mentors she has had over the years.

Throughout her career, Ms. Wechsberg has been recognized for her leadership, innovation, and dedication to service excellence. She received the Customer Service Award at the Shared Services Training Delivery Team Summit in 2013 and was named Continuous Improvement Champion by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in 2012.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Wechsberg has been or is civically engaged with, Habitat for Humanity® Wake County Animal Shelter., Boy Scouts of America, United Way, and serving as fundraising board member and a mentor for WomenNC.

Outside of work, Ms. Wechsberg finds balance and joy in nature and family life. She enjoys gardening, growing her own herbs/food, hiking to waterfalls and mountains, fly fishing, and spending time with her husband and son, family, and their animals.

Looking to the future, Ms. Wechsberg aspires to continue her leadership journey in consulting, leading and guiding learning strategy across her organization, and applying her expertise to mentor future leaders and underwriters in the insurance industry. She is committed to completing her master's program in consulting and obtaining her CPCU.
