Likewise, between 1998 and 2004, he was the founder of Strategic Management Group Inc., a London based consultancy. Mr. Harlamon's tenure at A.T. Hudson & Co. spanned 24 years and marked a significant chapter in his professional journey. Serving as a senior vice president, director and project manager, he led numerous high-impact projects across various industries. Among his most challenging and significant accomplishments was the transformation of a mill — then the largest in Australia — that was beset by severe labor conflicts. Leading a small team that included union employees, Mr. Harlamon fostered trust and encouraged open dialogue with employees and management over a 18 month timeframe. He successfully engaged labor and management and overcame performance issues by addressing poor operational practices while improving work life balance issues by introducing an innovative plant shift system that reduced costly downtime and increased employee time off, which greatly improved productivity, employee morale and workplace harmony.
Mr. Harlamon's academic background has been foundational to his professional achievements. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford in 1975, equipping him with advanced knowledge of global business practices that influenced his consulting work. He received a Bachelor degree from Nichols College, conferred in 1971.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Harlamon was a guest lecturer at Sampoerna University MBA program on Organizational leadership while working in Jakarta, Indonesia and was a contributing columnist to the Jakarta Globe writing business articles entitled "Thinking Outside the Box." As an author, Mr. Harlamon published "Smartsize Your Organization for Optimal Performance" in 2024, in addition to magazine articles sharing insights drawn from his extensive career in organizational transformations and change management.
Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Mr. Harlamon values family life alongside his professional endeavors. He is married and has one daughter.
