KENT ISLAND, MD, November 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- T. Joseph McQueeney has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Joey was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It therefore makes it only fitting that he chose to launch McQueeney Law, LLC on Kent Island, the largest island in the Chesapeake Bay and third oldest permanent settlement in the United States. Just as Brooks Robinson paved the way for Cal Ripken Jr., centuries of legal framework serves as the bedrock upon which an expansive, nearly limited practice, suitably emblematic of its Managing Member, will inevitably sore to new heights.

Joey has long been recognized for his commitment to legal excellence and proficiency, dating back to his admission to the State Bar of Maryland in 2014, where his "rookie year" resulted in triumphant appellate litigation and selection by What's Up? Media as a Leading Lawyer in the field of Business Law. Refusing to accept the limitations that are often associated with narrowed legal concentration, Joey quickly expanded his practice across an array of practice areas, earning recognition as a top rated civil, criminal defense, and traffic attorney, while contemporaneously being designated as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Estate Planning & Probate. Perhaps it is no surprise that, as Joey began to pair professional growth with business acumen, he was recognized by Lawyers of Distinction as a Distinguished Lawyer in General Practice, solidifying his place among the most well-rounded practitioners in the United States.

At 36 years old, Joey has likely only scratched the surface of the legacy that he will build, yet he remains forever grateful for the mentorship that encouraged and fostered his growth. Before opening the doors to McQueeney Law, LLC, Joey practiced under the tutelage of four prominent attorneys on the Eastern Shore, namely J. Donald Braden, Patrick E. Thompson, E. Sean Poltrack, and Michael-Anne T. Mundy, each of whom imbued upon Joey a distinct element of wisdom that he guards intimately to himself.

While Joey is faithfully dedicated to the growth of McQueeney Law, LLC, he will never lose his passion for learning, which is evidenced by his adventures into academia, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland. More than simply acting as a sieve for knowledge, Joey cherished the opportunity to potentially ignite a student's interest in law. To this day, Joey retains—as one of his proudest possessions—a short thank you note from a student who initially struggled with Joey's challenging instruction and apparently "ridiculous" standards before becoming impassioned by the practice of law, not only earning an A in the course, but also committing to the pursuit of a legal career.

To say the least, Joey's investment in academia has been instrumental to his professional success. Joey received a full scholarship to the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating eighth (8th) in his class, and earning induction into the Heuisler Honor Society, all while serving as the Associate Technology Editor for Law Review, and authoring a published article, "Fourth and Long: How the Well-Established System of Workers' Compensation Poses a Substantial Threat to the Financial Stability of the NFL."

Joey's interest in the interplay between the legal system and football did not simply arise as a member of Law Review, but actually reflects the dichotomous forces that shaped his life. Prior to law school, Joey attended the University of Maryland, becoming one of ten students who earned honors insignia in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Joey's Honors Thesis was entitled, "Assessing an Athlete's Proclivity for Violence: A Question of Selection or Socialization." At the same time, however, Joey did not allow his passion for football to remain relegated to the "sidelines" of academia, but instead walked onto the football as a wide receiver, playing alongside (behind) elite athletes like future Super Bowl Champion Torrey Smith. Naturally, as the token (but still really cool) nerd, Joey also received the President's Cup for academic achievement, awarded to the student with the highest grade point average among University of Maryland varsity lettermen.

Throughout his academic career, Joey received only three "B's" during three years of law school, all "A's" within his major and minor undergraduate education, and all "A's" throughout his high school career. Essentially, Joey earned only three central "B's" in eleven years of advanced study, and to this day, he knows the exact three classes resulting in a "B" and rues every part of it. Competitive to the bitter end.

Notwithstanding any perceived academic prowess, Joey is quick to point out the wealth of academic and professional talent arising from the Kent Island High School Class of 2006, producing no shortage of incredible talents who serve as architects, doctors, educators, engineers, financial and investment specialists, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, veterinarians, and many other laudable industries. Knowledge begets knowledge. Success begets success.

Joey steadfastly views all accomplishments and successes through the prism of God's blessings and direction, manifesting in the immutable care and support of mentors (Donald) and contemporaries (Robert), as well as Joey's superhero mother (Kathy) and father (John), nearly all of his familial connections, and the neighbors (Fran) and administrative staff (Brianne, Kortnie) who care for, and support, their rising legal titan every step of the way.

While male influences will be praised at a later time, Joey recognizes his Mount Rushmore of Women, without whom McQueeney Law, LLC would still be grounded: (1) Supermom for helping her son develop his own superpower, which is most likely some type of rare, undiagnosed mental idiosyncrasy that he chooses to use for good, not evil; (2) J.K. Rowling for gifting Harry Potter to a teenager who often needed to escape into Hogwarts, while also being contemporaneously imbued with precision in literary structure and technique; (3) Lauren Wilson, the late addition, arriving at the right time, and becoming the final source of the vital safe space that calms and relaxes a uniquely talented, but incredibly overactive, mind; and (4) Taylor Swift, who has remained an enduring source of immense joy for countless others across two decades, even when she did not necessarily feel it herself. Four women, many others (Professors Koller and McGloin), forever part of Joey's life, and inexplicably linked to the development and launch of his greatest industrial project. GOATs beget GOATs.
