He is also a two-time president of the Tri-City Democratic Club and previously served as vice chair on the executive committee of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party. Additionally, he is active in his local homeowners' association.
Before his tenure in public office, Mr. Howard contributed to the local economy through Howard Landscaping Services, where he gained valuable experience in business operations and community relations.
Mr. Howard's educational background includes completion of the journeyman electrician program in electrical and electronics engineering at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. This technical training provided a foundation for his work as a union steward with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he has been dedicated to supporting workers from diverse backgrounds. His role has centered on ensuring that individuals have access to resources for employment stability and family well-being, particularly those facing marital issues, substance abuse or mental health challenges.
Throughout his career, Mr. Howard has remained active in civic initiatives beyond his official duties. He has served as a union steward with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and volunteered for school drives and turkey giveaways. His philanthropic efforts include donations to the YMCA and 1,000 Ties, where he is also a supporter and guest speaker, as well as contributions to local school districts.
