Since 2025, Mr. Reister has served as sous chef at Compass Group Cape Canaveral Hospital. In this capacity, he manages inventory control, ensures proper meal preparation for patients, designs diverse menus for the retail cafeteria and caters meals for the physician's lounge. He oversees daily breakfast and lunch services, preparing meals with careful attention to nutritional requirements. His responsibilities also include direct involvement in cooking and meal preparation, working closely with hospital staff in the nutrition department. This role holds particular significance for Mr. Reister, as it enables him to provide nourishment that supports patient recovery and, in some cases, serves as a final comfort for those in need.

Among his most recent achievements, Mr. Reister successfully managed breakfast service for a large hospital population, preparing meals for between 90 and 120 patients, 100 physicians and 250 retail customers each day. Remarkably, he accomplished this after only two days of training and often worked independently, demonstrating both his culinary expertise and his ability to handle significant responsibilities with confidence and precision.

From 2018 to 2025, Mr. Reister held various positions as chef, cook, sous chef and line chef with Hilton and Marriott. During this period, he was responsible for managing kitchen operations, designing menus and ensuring high standards of food quality across multiple settings. His leadership was most notably demonstrated at the Clearwater Beach Hilton when he transitioned from night supervisor to executive chef without prior experience in that role. When the previous executive chef departed unexpectedly, Mr. Reister was entrusted with leading the kitchen for seven months until a permanent replacement was found.

In 2018, Mr. Reister worked as a deli cook at Jackson Whole Grocery. His earlier career includes more than two decades as a chief cook from 1996 to 2018 at various establishments. Throughout this period, he developed a comprehensive understanding of kitchen management, menu planning and team leadership, skills that have continued to serve him throughout his subsequent roles.

Mr. Reister is a high school graduate and credits his academic foundation with providing the discipline necessary for his professional achievements. He attributes much of his success to strategic networking, insightful consulting experiences, strong personal branding and a commitment to building a lasting legacy within the culinary field.

Mr. Reister's decision to pursue a career as a chef was inspired by a pivotal experience during a hotel stay when he witnessed travelers struggle to find food after a long journey due to the staff's unawareness of available options. This incident underscored for him the importance of hospitality and nurturing others through food, a conviction that has guided his career ever since.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Reister is civically engaged as a volunteer with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In his personal life, he enjoys living aboard a sailboat where he maintains and organizes his space. His personal interests include hiking in the mountains, jeeping, skiing and sailing.

Looking ahead, Mr. Reister is dedicated to further developing his culinary skills and advancing within Compass Group as new opportunities arise with the construction of additional hospital facilities nearby. He remains committed to taking on greater responsibilities within the organization and aspires to be recognized for his contributions through potential promotion to executive roles.
