Prior to reaching his current role at Crawford & Company, Mr. LaBianca excelled as vice president and state manager from 2021 to 2023. During this period, he was responsible for driving operational improvements and business growth within his assigned states. His leadership was vital in revitalizing underperforming areas, which has been a recurring theme throughout his career.

From 1997 to 2021, Mr. LaBianca held the position of operations manager at Crawford & Company, where he developed his reputation as a highly effective problem solver. One notable achievement during this time involved resolving a complex insurance fraud case in Philadelphia. By escalating the matter directly to then-Mayor Ed Rendell, Mr. LaBianca secured critical evidence that led to the dismissal of fraudulent claims — an accomplishment that brought him to the attention of senior management and set the stage for his advancement into executive roles.

Throughout his more than two decades in management, Mr. LaBianca has fostered a close-knit team environment, with many employees working alongside him for over 20 years. His commitment to ongoing professional development is reflected in his participation in industry organizations such as the Pennsylvania Loss Conference and the South Jersey Claims Association. Furthermore, he regularly attends Blue Goose outings and meetings as well as Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) events, and has contributed his knowledge and insights as a conference speaker.

Before venturing onto his insurance path, Mr. LaBianca pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1988. To augment his qualifications and leadership acumen, he has obtained numerous certifications through LinkedIn, including in business writing principles, finance for non-financial managers, Microsoft Office 365 essential training and having difficult conversations. Furthermore, he completed courses in transitioning from manager to leader and cultivating a growth mindset, enhancing his ability to lead teams, manage organizational change and communicate effectively with his colleagues and clients.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. LaBianca attributes his success to formative experiences outside the classroom. As a college wrestler, he developed resilience and mental toughness — qualities that have served him well in navigating professional challenges. He credits his father for instilling the values of toughness balanced with kindness and acknowledges his wife as a continual source of inspiration.

Mr. LaBianca's entry into the insurance realm was prompted by a desire for greater stability after his decade-long career as a professional guitarist touring nationally with a rock band. He experienced much success during this time — including opening for Peter Gabriel and Sinead O'Connor at the Golden Gate Festival in 1991 — but was ready to pursue a different path. A chance conversation on a golf course led to an interview for an adjuster trainee position at Crawford & Company, which launched his remarkable tenure with the firm.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. LaBianca is civically engaged as a wrestling coach for the Jackson Township Recreational Program and as a hockey coach at Jackson Liberty High School. His outstanding leadership and dedication have seen him recognized with five Circle of Excellence Awards as well as an accolade from the Young Leaders Conference.

Also a devoted family man, Mr. LaBianca has been happily married for over three decades and is the proud father of five accomplished children, including a social worker, two military officers and two college students pursuing careers in accounting and physical therapy. In his personal time, he continues to play the guitar for fun as a balance to his vocational endeavors.
