QUEEN CREEK, AZ, December 02, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gary M. Lee has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Lee, a distinguished expert in the areas integrated circuit design, switch fabric architecture and marketing, has built a career marked by innovation and leadership in the semiconductor and communications industries. Notable accomplishments include the development of the world's largest Galium Arsinide (GaAs) chip ever manufactured and receiving a patent for the world's first serial synchronous switch fabric architecture. When retiring from Intel Corporation in 2020, he had capped his professional journey of more than a decade with the company. In his final year there, Mr. Lee served in product marketing, leveraging his technical acumen to support the company's strategic initiatives.

Mr. Lee began his career with Honeywell International Inc. in 1981 as a semiconductor design engineer. He initially focused on integrated circuit designs for the DoD's VHSIC program, and later contributed to the research and development of gallium arsenide (GaAs) integrated circuits, publishing papers presented at major conferences. Mr. Lee then joined Gain Electronics Corp as an engineering manager from 1986 to 1988, where he patented several new circuit designs to improve the reliability and manufacturability of large GaAs gate arrays.

He joined Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation in 1988, where he took over as the lead developer of their latest GaAs gate array families, and came up with a new design that enabled the largest GaAs chip ever manufactured. This breakthrough notably earned Mr. Lee personal commendation from the company's chief executive officer, drove substantial business growth by attracting new customers, and remains one of his most celebrated professional milestones. Between 1996 and 2005, he served as the director of switch fabric architecture and switch fabric marketing at Vitesse, where he and a co-worker came up with a novel design that was patented as the world's first synchronous serial switch fabric architecture which enabled the launch of a successful product line. This type of switch fabric architecture is still used throughout the industry.

After leaving Vitesse and holding the position of senior director of product marketing at Xyratex Ltd. between 2005 and 2006, he became the director of product marketing at Fulcrum Microsystems, which developed high-speed Ethernet switches for data centers and financial institutions. After Fulcrum was acquired by Intel Corporation in 2011, Mr. Lee became part of Intel's Ethernet Products Group, and excelled in product marketing. At Intel, he served as a strategic planner from 2016 to 2019, where he played a pivotal role in next-generation Ethernet products. While working in product marketing at Intel, Mr. Lee's authored a book called "Cloud Networking: Understanding Cloud-Based Data Center Networks," available on Amazon, which provides insights into various technologies related to cloud-based data center networks.

Mr. Lee's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 1980 and 1983, respectively. Beyond his education, he has maintained memberships in professional organizations dedicated to advancing electrical engineering and technology standards, including becoming a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He also started two small companies while also working full-time, one developing layout software for integrated circuit cell libraries, and a later one called Backline Engineering that developed unique pedals, amplifiers and iPhone apps for guitar players. Throughout his career, Mr. Lee has been recognized with seven U.S. patents in the areas of logic circuits, gate arrays, cross-point switches and audio looping.

Mr Lee's latest passion is writing thriller and science fiction novels available on Amazon, based on his interest in recent technical breakthroughs and their societal impacts. His first novel, THE QUANTUM SHIFT, is a technical thriller involving international espionage surrounding quantum computer technology. His next two are science fiction novels. THE ARTIFICIAL DIVIDE and THE ARTEL COALITION, which allow the reader to explore the future of humankind and space exploration when faced with the on-going threat of artificial intelligence. He recently used an AI text to video generator to create a short trailer for THE ARTEL COALITION.

Mr Lee has followed in the footsteps of his father, a mechanical engineer, who worked on aerospace avionics for the space program at Honeywell International Inc., and his grandfather, a University of Minnesota mathematics professor and electrical engineer who, while working at the Electric Machinery Company in Minneapolis, received recognition from President Hoover for designing the electric motor that started the Hoover Dam in 1936. Looking ahead, he intends to continue writing more novels and traveling with his wife of 44 years, Tracey, as part of his ongoing pursuit of personal enrichment and discovery.
