PITTSFIELD, MA, December 02, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeanna L. Tinney, LCSW, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by her expertise in mitigation work, legal strategy development, risk assessments and connecting clients to essential services, Ms. Tinney has led a distinguished career in forensic social work. She is the founder and chief executive officer of Romans 828, LLC — established in 2023 — where she provides social service knowledge and expertise for legal defense teams in need. Managing all business operations, she travels to various courts for cases and maintains direct engagement with clients, attorneys, collateral contacts and probation departments. Her leadership at Romans 828 reflects her commitment to understanding client needs and ensuring that individuals receive appropriate support within the legal system.

Through her entrepreneurial role, Ms. Tinney has been a social services advocate with the Committee for Public Counsel Services since 2020. In this capacity, she has contributed significantly to the defense of vulnerable populations. Her work includes involvement in high-profile Massachusetts cases, but according to her, her most notable professional achievement is seeing a changed life. Although confidentiality often prevents her from being publicly named, her efforts are pivotal in balancing both truth and mercy - a foundation of our legal system.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Tinney worked at the Berkshire District Attorney's Office, where she gained foundational experience in the intersection of social work and the criminal justice system. Over the course of her professional career, she has developed a widespread reputation for excellence in forensic social work and legal advocacy.

Committed to ongoing industry engagement and advancing best practices within the field, Ms. Tinney is an active member of several professional organizations including Alpha Epsilon Lambda, the National Association of Social Workers Criminal Justice Committee and the Child and Youth Shared Interest Group.

Hailing from an equally impressive academic background, Ms. Tinney earned a Master of Social Work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania School of Graduate Studies in 2020, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice at Liberty University in 2017, also summa cum laude. To augment her professional qualifications and ability to help those in need, she is certified as a licensed certified social worker (LCSW) by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Ms. Tinney credits her success to the unwavering love and compassion of her mother, whom she regards as an exemplary role model for both parenting and faith. She also acknowledges the foundation of Jesus Christ, as well as the steadfast support from her family — especially her mother, stepfather and son — and mentors who have guided her professional growth.

Civically engaged as a volunteer in support of her son's baseball activities, Ms. Tinney values community involvement and strives to make a positive impact both inside and outside the courtroom. A proud mother of one, she is devoted to her family life and enjoys attending church services, traveling, spending quality time with her loved ones and cheering on local athletes on the Berkshire Reign teams.

Looking to the future with determination, Ms. Tinney desires to see justice prevail for all of her clients and continue giving a voice to those who are frequently disenfranchised or overlooked within society. Her legacy represents resilience, strength, compassion and a fierce devotion to helping others — qualities that she aims to reflect Christ and make Him known.
