Throughout her entire career, she has been driven to demonstrate her capabilities as a full time power wheelchair user due to congenital muscular dystrophy, and to challenge misconceptions, earning respect and visibility in the travel sector and beyond.

In addition to her work with Adventures by Jamie, Ms. Santillo is the founder and owner of JS Creative Concepts & Marketing LLC, a role she has held since 2016. Through this venture, she provides creative marketing solutions, event planning and media relations strategies for small and independent businesses as well nonprofit organizations, further establishing her reputation for innovation and client-focused service.

From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Santillo excelled as a desktop publisher at AchieveGlobal (now Miller Heiman Group), where she was responsible for producing high-quality publications and supporting the company's training and development initiatives of fortune 500 companies. Her career began with an internship at Clear Channel Communications from 1997 to 1998, where she gained foundational experience in media, communications and advertising services.

From 2004 to 2016, Ms. Santillo thrived as the public relations specialist for Shriners Hospitals for Children - Tampa, supporting the organization's pediatric care, research and teaching programs through her specialties in strategic communication, outreach, event planning, media relations and fundraising.

Committed to continuous leadership development and expanding her network, Ms. Santillo is a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors and the Cruise Lines International Association — both of which support best practices and professional growth within the travel sector.

Ms. Santillo's educational background has played an equally vital role in her success. She earned a Master of Arts in management from Bellevue University in 2005, equipping her with advanced leadership and organizational skills. Five years earlier, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from the University of South Florida, which provided her with a strong foundation in media, public relations and marketing. To augment her qualifications at Adventures by Jamie, she was certified as a travel industry coach in 2021 and a travel professional in 2020, both by Wanderlust Campus.

Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Ms. Santillo credits the love and support of her family as well as the mentorship of Cyndi Williams — owner of Wanderlust Campus — where Ms. Santillo has been a development coach since 2022, and lead development coach since 2023, as influences in her pivot to the entrepreneurial realm. She also acknowledges the contributions of her team, whose talent and dedication have challenged her to grow as a leader and achieve new heights in her career.
