Since 2019, she has served as the founding partner and principal architect of LNB Studio LLC in Greater St. Louis, where she manages the firm and oversees all aspects of its operations. The name LNB Studio—an acronym for "Listen, Navigate, Build"—reflects Ms. Baebler's guiding philosophy. Prior to founding LNB Studio, Ms. Baebler was owner and principal architect of Laura Neri Baebler Architect PC, doing business as LNB Architecture and Interiors, from 1991 to 2019. During this period, she demonstrated remarkable resilience, successfully navigating significant industry challenges, including the 2008–2010 recession and the COVID-19 pandemic. She takes particular pride in sustaining her business for 34 years, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Baebler worked as an architect with J. Robert Green, Architect in St. Louis from 1984 to 1991, where she further honed her design skills and expanded her professional network. Her foundational experience includes serving as an architect intern at Booker Associates in Fort Washington, Maryland (1982–1983), and at Joseph P. Vaghe Architects in Bethesda, Maryland (1978–1982).
Throughout her career, Ms. Baebler has been recognized for her thought leadership and contributions to the profession. In 2025, she was a guest on the Expert In You podcast and published in Expert In You Magazine. That same year, she was also video interviewed for Construction Forum St. Louis.
She was honored as Top Women Business Owner of the Year (2022) by Small Business Monthly and recognized by St. Louis Small Business Monthly in the Minority Business category, "A Foundation of Entrepreneurship."
Her earlier features include being highlighted in the Qualified Remodeler article, "Best Practices, Products, and Design Ideas" (2006), and appearing in Builder Architect, St. Louis Edition (1988).
To remain current with developments in her field, Ms. Baebler maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, the International Code Council, the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture, and the Green Building Council. These affiliations underscore her commitment to advancing architectural standards while integrating cultural connections, emotion, and neuroscience into her design practices.
Ms. Baebler earned both her Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She furthered her studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in Rome, Italy, and trained under renowned architect David Mackay in Barcelona, Spain.
Her firm, LNB Studio LLC, holds multiple certifications through the States of Missouri and Illinois, as well as the Missouri Regional Certification Committee. These include designations as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority- and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Federal Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB).
Passionate about architecture, Ms. Baebler's interest was sparked by a natural talent for drawing and enriched through extensive travel with her parents across Argentina, Italy, and the United States. This multicultural upbringing fostered a lifelong curiosity about the psychological impact of architecture on individuals and communities.
Her family's entrepreneurial spirit also played a significant role in shaping her career path. In Maryland, her mother, Anna Neri, founded Spring Bilingual Montessori Academy; her father, Luigi Neri, established Architectural Stone Inc., a precast concrete business; and in Florida, her brother, Robert Neri, launched Dolphin Data Products, a computer company.
Ms. Baebler's work has earned widespread recognition throughout her career. Notable recent honors include an appreciation award from the City of Sunset Hills in 2025 and a nomination by SBM readers, with recognition from St. Louis Small Business Monthly as one of St. Louis' Best Architectural Firms. In 2023, LNB Studio completed a remodel project for Forest Park Forever that was featured in the St. Louis Business Journal. She was named Top Woman Business Owner by Small Business Monthly in 2022, and in 2016, LNB Studio received the Illumination Award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Baebler received multiple accolades from the AT HOME Architect and Designer Awards between 2008 and 2011, as well as the Award for Dignified Infill Work from the Landmarks Commission of the City of Kirkwood in 2007. She also earned the Alpha Rho Chi Medal from The Catholic University of America in 1982.
Together, these honors reflect Ms. Baebler's enduring commitment to design excellence, innovation, and professional leadership.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Baebler is deeply committed to civic engagement. She supports the ACE Mentorship Program, mentoring high school students interested in careers in architecture, construction, and engineering. Through the St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP), she sponsors an annual paid internship in her office in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of St. Louis. She also contributes to LitShop, leading workshops for a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through literacy and hands-on building and making. In addition, she provides financial support and volunteers with The Women's Safe House, helping women and families rebuild their lives free from domestic and sexual abuse.
Looking ahead, Ms. Baebler aims to expand her firm while elevating the visibility of her team members and their achievements within the architectural community. Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, she continues to draw upon her diverse background as she leads LNB Studio forward.
