Currently serving as the manager of the Digital Equity Education program at the Memphis Urban League — which assists both young individuals and senior citizens in underserved areas — she leads initiatives to bridge the digital literacy gap and promote equitable access to technology and education throughout the Memphis community.

Since 2022, Dr. Reed has also contributed to the Memphis Urban League as a computer instructor, where she develops and delivers educational programming designed to uplift individuals and families. She previously held this instructional position from 2019 to 2020, demonstrating her longstanding dedication to the organization's mission of advancing economic empowerment and social justice.

In addition to her service at the Memphis Urban League, Dr. Reed serves as president of Alliance Bible College and Seminary (an online college) and executive director/certified life coach at Elev8 Institute where she coaches individuals dealing with life-changing events — including career changes, retirement or returning to work — to help them create a tailored plan to achieve their desired goals.

Dr. Reed also excels as a part-time professor at the University of Memphis. Sharing her diverse expertise with students, she focused on topics that align with her professional interests in leadership, ministry and community engagement. Her experience in higher education also includes a tenure of more than a decade as dean of students at the International College of Ministry in Orlando, Florida, where she expanded her leadership acumen and took great fulfillment in assisting students and families with affordable tuition rates.

Dr. Reed's devotion to helping others is further distinguished by her active membership in several industry-related organizations. She is affiliated with the International Coaching Federation, reflecting her commitment to professional coaching standards and ongoing professional development. Additionally, she is a member of the National Coalition of Women in Ministry, Love Nation and the National Association of Female Entrepreneurs, underscoring her advocacy for women's leadership and entrepreneurship within both ministry and business sectors.

Much of Dr. Reed's success in education and life coaching stems from her equally robust academic background. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from the School of Christian Leadership and Education in 2024, equipping her with advanced knowledge in human behavior and organizational dynamics. She holds a Doctor of Ministry from the International College of Ministry, completed in 2020, as well as a master's degree in ministry from the same institution in 2010. Dedicated to continuous learning, she earned a bachelor of liberal studies in 2009 and a bachelor of professional studies in 2007, both from the University of Memphis.

To augment her leadership acumen and ability to assist others, Dr. Reed has pursued specialized training in multiple areas. She obtained a nonprofit management leadership certificate in 2008, which has informed her approach to organizational development and community service. She is also certified member of the International Coaching Federation, enriching the services she provides through Elev8 Institute and beyond.

Throughout her life, Dr. Reed has drawn much inspiration from the guidance of her father during her formative years. His emphasis on business principles, kindness, ethical conduct and making meaningful connections has profoundly influenced her approach to life coaching, civic leadership and public service.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Dr. Reed is deeply engaged in civic activities across Memphis. She serves as a trip leader for Praying Pelican Missions and volunteers with organizations such as Mid-South Food Bank, Room in the Inn, Calvary Rescue Missions, Memphis Athletic Ministries and Leadership Preparatory Academy, Bethel Grove and Sea Isle Elementary schools. As a missions pastor at Monument of Love Baptist Church, she provides spiritual guidance while also coordinating outreach efforts that benefit local communities.

Dr. Reed's outstanding contributions to both the Memphis community and the education sector at large have seen her recognized through notable accolades. She received the Kindle Award from McNary Media Network — which celebrates the unsung heroes of society — in 2018 and was honored with the Leading Lady Award from Shekinah Glory Ministries in 2024.

In her personal life, Dr. Reed is a devoted family woman and proud mother of three who enjoys traveling, photography, reading and spending quality time with her 11 grandchildren.
