CEDAR PARK, TX, December 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrea Ingersoll Totte has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Ingersoll Totte has established a distinguished career in laboratory planning and architecture, including her current role as a laboratory planner with HERA Laboratory Planners since 2025. In this capacity, she assists institutions engaged in research and development, clinical studies, and materials science in developing their testing spaces. Her responsibilities include meeting with clients and user groups to understand daily routines, processes and workflows, ensuring that process planning and space arrangements align with workflow requirements while minimizing safety risks. Ms. Ingersoll Totte is recognized for her ability to address unique challenges within workspaces, drawing on her extensive experience to deliver tailored solutions.

Before joining HERA laboratory planners, Ms. Ingersoll Totte served as senior laboratory specialist and project leader at LPA, Inc. in Texas from 2022 to 2023. During this period, she led teams in the design and implementation of advanced laboratory environments, leveraging her expertise to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.

From 2017 to 2022, Ms. Ingersoll Totte held dual roles as project architect and lab planner at STG Design in Austin, Texas. Her most notable achievement during her tenure at STG Design was the development of a lightning simulation facility for a client in 2020. This facility, equivalent in size to a football field and constructed as a large Faraday cage within another building, was designed to simulate atmospheric conditions for testing various materials. As the fifteenth facility of its kind ever built, it required an in-depth exploration of scientific principles to inform workflow layouts, guidance and safety protocols for future operations. Ms. Ingersoll Totte and her team of 18 members to complete this complex project, demonstrating her leadership and technical acumen.

From 2016 to 2017, she worked as a steel detailer at American Buildings Company, contributing to the structural detailing of commercial projects. During this time she also renovated an 1890's farmhouse, kept bees, and grew organic produce. Her earlier experience includes serving as staff designer and building information modeling manager at Risinger + Associates Inc. in the Greater Chicago Area in 2015, where she managed digital modeling processes for architectural projects.

Ms. Ingersoll Totte was also a designer at Giuliani Associates Architects, Inc., in the Washington, D.C., Metro Area from 2013 to 2014, focusing on architectural design solutions for diverse clients. From 2011 to 2013, she was a building information modeling manager at Farnsworth Group, Inc., overseeing the integration of advanced modeling technologies into project workflows.

Her professional journey also includes experience outside architecture; from 2009 to 2011, she was a sales specialist with State Farm ®, where she developed skills in client relations and insurance product knowledge across multiple states. She began her career as an intern architect at Angus Young Associates from 2007 to 2008.

Throughout her career, Ms. Ingersoll Totte has maintained active involvement in numerous industry organizations, including the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, American Glovebox Society, Laboratory Safety Institute, ACGIH, American Chemical Society, and Multi-Hazard Mitigation Council of the National Institute of Building Sciences since 2021. She has served as director for the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) since 2020 and as director of Central Texas for I2SL since 2019. Additionally, she has been affiliated with the Project Management Institute, Inc., Austin Chapter since 2019; the League of Women Voters since 2018; the Construction Specifications Institute since 2017; AUGI, Inc., ASIS International, and the American Institute of Steel Construction since 2011; and NCARB since 2007.

Ms. Ingersoll Totte's academic background includes a 2008 bachelor's degree in architectural studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also completed study abroad coursework in architectural studies at ENSAV in France from 2006 to 2007. Her education provided a strong foundation for her technical expertise and global perspective.

She holds several professional certifications including CodeBook Certified from CodeBook Smarter Room & Asset Data Management – Inception to Handover, Tools of the Trade from MBMA, Dollars & Tons from Nucor Corporation, NuService from Nucor Corporation, Frontline from Nucor Corporation, Revit 2012 Certification from Autodesk, Revit 2011 Certified Professional from Autodesk, licensed insurance producer across multiple states from 2009 to 2011 and OSHA 10 certification from OSHA Safety Training Institute. She is attending Guidelines for Laboratory Design at the T. H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard in June of 2026.

Ms. Ingersoll Totte credits her achievements to the support of mentors, family and community who have played pivotal roles throughout her journey.

Her civic engagement is equally robust. Since 2021, she has served as a board member responsible for fundraising with wautEcabm. She has been involved with the Construction Specifications Institute since 2017 and held multiple leadership roles at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church between 2011 and 2017, including vestry member, youth leader, retreat leader, vacation bible school volunteer, Sunday school teacher, building and grounds interiors selection committee member, and blood drive coordinator. She coordinated blood drives for the American Red Cross from 2012 to 2013 and supports organizations such as Indivisible CENTEX, Mutual Aid Work through her homeowners association, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc.

Born in Bloomington–Normal, Ms. Ingersoll Totte is fluent in English, French and German. She enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, playing various musical instruments, fiber arts and gardening. Ms. Ingersoll Totte intends to continue her inspiring work with scientists for as long as possible.
