For 28 years, he has volunteered as a football coach, including at Avon Old Farms, Cheshire Academy and Choate Rosemary Hall. He is the father of a daughter who graduated from Florida State University in 2021 and a son who will be graduating from The University Of Alabama with his degree in finance in may 2026. Additionally, he has a stepdaughter, Adriana, who owns and operates a nonprofit cat rescue.

He also become the legal guardian of two young men: Josh Jobe, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks wearing number 29, and Ibraham Amara, a three-time All-American who played for Georgetown University. Both who played for him at Cheshire Academy.

Outside of work, Mr. Lopez enjoys working out and traveling, activities that reflect his energetic approach to life. Looking ahead, he is determined to change perceptions within the contracting industry by emphasizing reliability and dependability over price, while elevating Heat Shock 2 LLC and aspiring to take it public alongside his son.
