ATLANTA, GA, December 11, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tabitha R. Turner has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Turner has established herself as a dynamic presence in the fields of sports broadcasting and traffic engineering, demonstrating expertise in independent contracting and versatility across multiple disciplines. Since 2022, she has served as a sportscaster for TabTurnerTV, her own limited liability company, where she works with various teams on a contract basis. In this capacity, she has become known for her engaging on-air presence and insightful analysis, earning recognition from viewers and industry professionals alike.

Since 2017, Ms. Turner has also been an analyst for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association, where her commentary and deep understanding of the game have been widely praised. Her ability to connect with audiences was further highlighted during her tenure as a sideline reporter for the Atlanta Hawks from 2023 to 2025, and currently as a part-time analyst for the 2025-26 season. During this period, she navigated significant personal challenges while maintaining her professional commitments, including uncertainty regarding her contract renewal.

For two years overlapping with her roles with the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Dream, Ms. Turner contributed as an in-game analyst for CBS Sports, providing real-time insights and elevating the viewing experience for basketball fans nationwide. She also served as a play-by-play analyst for NBC Sports for two years and as an in-game analyst for Raycom Sports for five years. Her work with Raycom Sports was concurrent with her role as an analyst for ACC Network Extra from 2019 to 2022, where she delivered expert commentary on collegiate athletics.

Earlier, Ms. Turner's voice became familiar to radio listeners through her contributions to Dickey Broadcasting/680 The Fan/Atlanta Sports X from 2018 to 2023 and as a sports contributor for NBC 11Alive during the same period. Additionally, she reported for the Georgia Swarm Pro Lacrosse team from 2016 to 2023, further diversifying her portfolio within sports media.

Ms. Turner's broadcasting career is complemented by a strong foundation in engineering. From 2016 to 2022, she worked as a civil engineer III with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Prior to this role, she served as a transportation engineer with the Illinois Department of Transportation from 2011 to 2016.

Throughout her career, Ms. Turner's achievements include being selected as a Marie Claire Panel Host and being chosen as the in-game reporter for the Commissioner's Cup Championship game with the Women's National Basketball Association on Prime Sports—an honor that underscores her prominence in sports journalism. She is also proud of her creative collaboration with Gilbert Young, a noted civil rights artist, which reflects her commitment to impactful storytelling beyond traditional broadcasting.

Ms. Turner's educational background has been instrumental in shaping her multifaceted career. She earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta in 2009 before completing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on transportation at the same institution in 2010. During her final year and a half at Georgia Tech, she managed the women's basketball team while completing rigorous engineering coursework.

In pursuit of excellence in broadcasting, Ms. Turner obtained a certification of training in radio and television broadcasting technology from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 2016. She is currently preparing to sit for the professional engineering license exam at the end of March, further enhancing her credentials.

Overall, Ms. Turner attributes much of her success to her mother, who raised four children as a single parent while working as a corrections officer. Her mother's resilience and commitment inspired Ms. Turner's own drive and adaptability. She also acknowledges Lachina Robinson—a sportscaster for ESPN, as well as a former Wake Forest basketball player and director of operations at Georgia Tech—as an influential mentor who encouraged her transition into broadcasting despite not having a traditional communications background.

Ms. Turner's entry into broadcasting was motivated by a passion for connecting with people and sharing stories—qualities that set her apart in both engineering and media roles. Participation in pageants, such as International Miss Illinois and Miss Illinois USA, provided additional opportunities for public engagement and personal growth.

Born in Hollywood, FL. Ms. Turner balances her professional pursuits with raising her daughter while caring for two cats and a dog. She enjoys building and designing around her home and yard and was involved civically as treasurer of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for two years while in school.

Looking ahead, Ms. Turner is focused on expanding TabTurnerTV, passing her professional engineering exam and establishing herself as a leading voice in sports media with aspirations for an HGTV-style show and contracts with major sports networks. She remains dedicated to supporting her daughter's development while continuing to break new ground professionally.

Throughout periods of personal adversity—including navigating a difficult divorce —Ms. Turner has demonstrated resilience by maintaining high standards in both career and family life. Her journey exemplifies perseverance, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to surpassing expectations across every endeavor she undertakes. She no longer allows limitations to define or restrict her, as she is driven by a deep aversion to feeling confined—particularly by the expectations or assumptions of others. Through her story, she aims to illustrate the power of breaking free from imposed constraints and underscores the importance of embracing one's authentic self rather than conforming to external pressures.
