In 2025, she opened her own business, NutriReg Consulting LLC, which provides nutrition and regulatory consulting services to food and beverage companies. In this capacity, Ms. Janas assists developers and food scientists in understanding the ingredients incorporated into food products, generates compliant packaging and marketing assets and guides companies in legally compliant communications according to FDA regulations.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Janas served as the regulatory affairs and nutrition innovation manager at Nature's Fynd from 2021 to 2025. During her tenure, she played an instrumental role in developing a new product from inception, collaborating with her team to enhance the base ingredient by integrating specific ingredients for optimal nutritional content. Her work at Nature's Fynd stands as one of her proudest achievements, reflecting her dedication to innovation in nutrition.

From 2017 to 2021, Ms. Janas served as the nutrition and regulatory affairs manager at Nurture Life. In this position, she oversaw compliance with food regulations and contributed to the development of nutritious meal solutions for children and families.

Ms. Janas held dual roles at Loyola University Health System from 2011 to 2017, serving as both a media consultant and a clinical dietitian II. During this period, she co-authored a research paper with physicians specializing in cystic fibrosis that examined the impact of tube feeding and supplemental feeding on achieving specific body mass index targets for lung transplant patients. The study analyzed how these targets related to survival rates post-transplantation. Ms. Janas presented this research at an the ISHLT conference in Montreal, marking a significant milestone as she addressed an audience predominantly composed of physicians alongside allied health professionals. In 2017, she completed a nutrition internship at Weber Shandwick, where she gained valuable experience in public relations and communications within the CPG sector.

Ms. Janas' academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO in 2009. Foundational training to become a registered dietitian, RD, was completed via dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2009 to 2010. She has since obtained several professional certifications that have advanced her career, including registration and licensure as a dietitian from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in 2010, registration as a dietitian from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2010 and certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician from the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification Inc. in 2012.

Throughout her career, Ms. Janas has actively engaged with several professional organizations. Most recently, she joined the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society in 2025, following her membership with the Chicago Food and Nutrition Network, which began in 2014, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, to which she has been affiliated since 2009.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Janas credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her family, who have encouraged her at every stage. She emphasizes the importance of believing in oneself, persevering through challenges, and asking questions to gain deeper insight. By dreaming beyond conventional expectations and striving for what she truly desires, Ms. Janas has consistently gone beyond the paths others may have envisioned, forging her own path to achievement.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Janas is deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. Born in St. Paul, MN, Ms. Janas enjoys spending time with her husband and two children through family activities such as biking, hiking, traveling, exploring nature together and discovering new foods.
