Ms. White currently serves as the Director of State and District Partnerships at The Writing Revolution (TWR), a role she assumed in 2025. She leads TWR's work with district and state leaders across the country and internationally, guiding large-scale partnerships that help school systems strengthen writing instruction at scale.
Ms. White is widely recognized for her leadership in implementing The Writing Revolution's structured, systematic approach to writing at scale. Drawing on her deep expertise in instructional design and district-level strategy, she has guided large school systems through successful, districtwide adoption of TWR. Her leadership has helped ensure that teachers and school leaders have the clarity, tools, and support necessary to integrate TWR across content areas, resulting in more coherent instruction and improved student outcomes. Throughout her career, Mrs. White has been most proud of supporting teachers and school leaders, ensuring they have the training, tools and knowledge necessary to carry out their challenging work.
Before joining The Writing Revolution, Ms. White served as the chief academic officer for Monroe City Schools from 2024 to 2025. In this executive leadership position, she oversaw academic programming and instructional initiatives across the district, working closely with educators and administrators to enhance student outcomes.
From 2023 to 2024, Ms. White served as interim superintendent for Monroe City Schools. During her tenure, she provided strategic direction and operational oversight for the district, guiding it through periods of transition while maintaining a focus on instructional quality and student achievement.
Between 2014 and 2024, Ms. White served as director of curriculum and instruction and director of federal programs at Monroe City Schools. In this role, she was responsible for developing and implementing curriculum frameworks, supporting teachers' professional development and ensuring alignment with state standards.
From 2012-2014, Ms. White served as an Educational Program Consultant and Network Coach for the Louisiana Department of Education. In this role, she supported the school districts in the northeast region of the state and worked with the content offices to support the adoption of the new standards, assessments, and curriculum guidance.
Earlier in her career, Ms. White was principal and headmaster at Providence Classical Academy from 2006 to 2010. She led the school's academic programs and administrative functions, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
Ms. White began her professional journey as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher at Haughton Middle School within Bossier Parish Schools from 2000 to 2006. She previously taught seventh-grade social studies at the same school during the 1999-2000 academic year.
Her professional affiliations reflect her dedication to advancing education. She has served with the Accountability Commission of the Louisiana Department of Education for two years and is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Additionally, she served as a board member for two years with the Louisiana Association of Teachers of Mathematics.
Ms. White's academic background includes a Master of Education in educational leadership and administration from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Education from Mississippi College in Clinton in 1998. Her passion for students and love of the classroom have been central influences throughout her career. She finds great joy in teaching or observing classroom instruction and remains eager to return to teaching when possible.
Her achievements have been recognized through several honors, including being named Junior High Teacher of the Year in mathematics by the State of Louisiana in 2011. She also holds a certificate of completion from the Louisiana Superintendent's Academy.
Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. White is civically engaged as a supporter of local theaters, reflecting her appreciation for community arts.
Born in Jackson, Ms. White enjoys musical theater and community theater in her personal time. She is married and has one son. Looking ahead, she aims to continue supporting teachers and districts in implementing The Writing Revolution initiative—an effort she views as transformative across content areas—and to expand its reach so more students can learn to express their thoughts clearly and concisely under the guidance of well-supported educators.
