Her career began as a bedside nurse and evolved into travel trauma nursing, during which time she worked across the United States and witnessed firsthand the challenges and suffering patients in critical care settings face. These experiences deeply influenced her professional trajectory and inspired her pursuit of holistic approaches to health and healing.

Ms. Howard's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha in 1984. Her commitment to lifelong learning led her to Switzerland, where she completed coursework at the Jung Institute in 1993 and again in 2001, earning certificates in Jungian psychology during both periods. In 1993, she also earned a certificate after studying with Dr. Deepak Chopra, whose early work shaped her understanding of integrative medicine and inspired her to teach "The Magic of Healing," an eight-week course developed as part of the first training cohort of 100 instructors.
