Major Beehler has established a distinguished Marine Corps career marked by extensive engagement in global logistics and operations. Since July 2024, he currently serves as the Marine Corps Training Mission in the United Arab Emirates' deputy operations officer and director of logistics, a special interagency case between the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Defense that directly supports the major defense partnership between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
For over 18 years, Major Beehler has planned, directed, and led multiple missions and endeavors worldwide in logistics operations, transportation coordination, supply chain activities, distribution, and engineering functions, as well as strategic planning, war planning, and project management. His responsibilities also include leading operational planning teams, providing knowledge and information management, facilitating interagency collaboration, and ensuring compliance with military regulations. Major Beehler is further dedicated to mentoring junior personnel, developing training programs, analyzing data for informed decision-making, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Major Beehler is recognized for his ability to adapt to evolving operational environments while fostering positive team dynamics, and has become widely regarded as an expert in global logistics, supply chain management, strategic planning, transportation impacts, and distribution operations. Throughout his service, Major Beehler's efforts have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, one U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and four U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Commendation Medals.
From 2008 to 2012, Major Beehler served in multiple logistics and command roles with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, including two combat deployments in 2009 to Iraq and another to Afghanistan in 2012. In Iraq, he commanded a platoon responsible for executing approximately 43 Combat Logistics Patrols, comprising Marines, Sailors, and U.S. contractors, throughout Anbar Province, Western and Central Iraq. Under Major Beehler's leadership, all personnel successfully navigated challenging operational environments while ensuring the safety and well-being of every member, ensuring everyone came home.
Between 2012 and 2021 Major Beehler served in multiple capacities and positions around the world including Blount Island Command, Jacksonville Florida, 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Naval Support Activity Bahrain, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton California, deployments to Kuwait with Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve, Task Force 51/5 and US Naval Forces Command – Combined 5th Fleet, Naval Support Activity Bahrain, in support of Marine Corps requirements, Naval, Joint, and U.S. strategic objectives.
Major Beehler credits his professional development from being able to work for and observe outstanding general and flag officers of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy such as (present rank): Lieutenant General Carl E. Mundy III (retired), Lieutenant General Joseph R. Clearfield, Major General Farrell J. Sullivan, Major General Matthew G. Trollinger, Brigadier General Nick I. Brown, Admiral Samuel J. Paparo Jr., Admiral Charles B. Cooper, and Vice Admiral Curt A. Renshaw.
From 2021 to 2024, Major Beehler served as the Korean Theater Operations Officer for the III Marine Expeditionary Force G-4 in Okinawa, Japan. During that time, Major Beehler was instrumental in managing complex logistics operations across the Asia-Pacific region and in deploying forces throughout the First Island Chain. Most notably, Major Beehler was recognized as one of the key staff members whose efforts supported a three year period of uninterrupted deployments of nearly 15,000 Marines, Sailors, and Service members to the Republic of Korea, including the reintegration of the Marine Corps Maritime Preposition Program vessels to Korea after a five year absence.
Major Beehler's professional journey began as a cadet at Virginia Military Institute from 2000 to 2004. This formative experience introduced him to military discipline, leadership principles, and the values that would guide his subsequent career. Major Beehler's following contributions to global logistics and supply chain management significantly contributed to mission success, while his commitment to mentoring junior U.S. Marines helped cultivate future leaders within the organization.
Inspired by a childhood interest in military history and the famous Marine Corps Chess Board television commercial, Major Beehler would ultimately pursue a military education at the Virginia Military Institute, earning a Bachelor of Arts in international studies. He then obtained a Master of Science in International and European politics from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland before being commissioned as a U.S. Marine officer in November 2007.
Apart from his work, Major Beehler enjoys physical fitness, writing, literature, travel, volunteering for community service projects, and developing his understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning. He also focuses on strengthening his public speaking skills and developing his relationships.
Major Beehler attributes his accomplishments to the love and dedicated role his mother and father played in his childhood.
