From 1984 to 2011, Mr. Durso served as managing director at Wells Fargo Advisors in Red Bank. Over nearly three decades, he developed a reputation for integrity and client-focused service, further solidifying his standing as an expert in wealth management.
Mr. Durso began his career as a senior account executive at Merrill Lynch in Brooklyn from 1978 to 1984. This formative experience laid the groundwork for his future accomplishments and instilled in him the values of hard work and ethical practice.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Durso has been recognized for his thought leadership and contributions to the field. Mr. Durso's academic background includes a master's degree from Columbia University, earned in 1977, and a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from St. John's University, completed in 1975. He serves as treasurer for Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, New Jersey; president of his homeowners association; trustee at Church of Saint Leo the Great in Lincroft; past chairman of the Zilinski Foundation; past president of the Staten Island Alumni Association at St. John's University; and past vice chairman of St. John's Federation. He is also a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers Foundation and The Statue of Liberty — Ellis Island Foundation. Additionally, he sponsors scholarships at St. John's University and has coached youth sports, including Lincroft Little League, CBA Winter Ball and Saint Leo's Baseball.
His dedication has been recognized with several honors, including the Fidelitas Award from St. John's University, the Cancer Society Award and the Terence Cardinal Cooke Medal from St. John's. Mr Durso and his wife established a Durso-Facciponte scholarship fund for St. John's students that attend the study abroad program in Rome Italy.
Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Durso values time spent with family and enjoys traveling, target shooting, bowling and golfing. He is the father of Michael Durso and Joe Durso.
