Before her current role, Ms. Blades was partner success manager at SparrowPay Inc. in 2025, where she laid the groundwork for her current leadership position by managing relationships with key partners and supporting their successful integration into the company's ecosystem.

Before entering the private sector, Ms. Blades built a distinguished career in the United States Army spanning nearly 13 years. From 2020 to 2025, she served as an AH-64E pilot, a role that required exceptional technical skill and leadership under pressure. Her journey to becoming a pilot stands out as her most significant professional achievement. During her 22 months at flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, beginning in 2020, she balanced rigorous training with raising her two young children alone while navigating a divorce. Despite early mornings, late-night flights and the challenge of finding childcare, Ms. Blades persevered through immense stress to complete the program. The moment she received her wings with her children present marked a pinnacle in her career and personal life.

Her military service also included time as a TH-67 student pilot in 2020 and as an intelligence analyst at Fort Gordon from 2017 to 2020. From 2013 to 2017, she held multiple roles at Fort Cavazos, including intelligence analyst, and security manager. Additionally, she was a Team Lead for a Special Operations Joint Task Force in 2018.

Ms. Blades' academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She completed coursework toward an associate's degree in military intelligence at Cochise College in 2013. She also undertook coursework in nursing before enlisting in the Army, a decision inspired by her mother's career as a paramedic but ultimately redirected by financial constraints and a realization that her passion lay elsewhere.

Her professional qualifications include certification as a helicopter pilot from the United States Army in 2020 and a weapons-handling certification from Central Texas College in Killeen in 2016.

The transition from military service to civilian life was prompted by medical necessity following two knee surgeries that rendered her unable to continue flying helicopters. Facing uncertainty about future employment due to potential complications with her knee, Ms. Blades discovered the Army's Service to Software program. This pivotal step led to her recruitment by SparrowPay Inc., where CEO Nichole Kazenske recognized her potential after viewing her candidate video.

Throughout her journey, Ms. Blades attributes her resilience and achievements to her children. Their presence motivated her to persevere through adversity and provided daily inspiration to create a loving home filled with happiness and laughter.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Blades is civically engaged as a volunteer with animal rescue organizations and supports women's and children's charities through donations. Her dedication was recognized with the Joint Service Commendation Medal with "C" Device for service with Joint Special Operations Command.

Born in Childress, Ms. Blades enjoys spending time with family—her spouse, Christopher Ittner, is also an Apache pilot with over seventeen years of military service—and their children, Paisley and Kori. Her interests include caring for plants, rescuing animals such as cats and dogs, kayaking with her children, crocheting and learning new languages.
