NEW YORK, NY, December 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yuby Hernandez is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who's Who. She was recently spotlighted in New York City's Times Square on a 22-story screen that is passed by an estimated 1.5 million people daily. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are chosen from among a pool of the most prominent professionals and are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Hernandez has established herself as a strategic powerhouse in nonprofit leadership, institutional fundraising, and creative production, drawing on a deep commitment to the arts and social impact. She is the founder and executive producer of Diosa Films LLC, a creative catalyst production company she launched in 2025. She is currently working on the development of her first feature documentary film, "Mujeres Del Tipico," about the impact of women in the Dominican musical genre Merengue Tipico. She is also executive producing the film Boru, Yaku Pelota, a film about identity, cultural collaboration, and the two seemingly unconnected countries of the Dominican Republic and Japan. "Boru, Yaku, Pelota," is currently in post-production and has been submitted to markets and labs for post-production funding and pre-sale agreements. Ms. Hernandez's recent projects reflect her dynamic presence in the film industry.

Under Ms. Hernandez's leadership, Diosa Films LLC has set ambitious goals for industry impact, including the release and distribution of several films, including "Our Island, Nuestra Tierra" which she executive-produced. The film has enjoyed a successful festival run and is being positioned for potential distribution deals with major platforms like Amazon.

Her role defines Ms. Hernández's work as a creative catalyst—someone who amplifies talent, accelerates clarity, and transforms projects from the inside out. She views filmmaking as an ecosystem of collaboration in which vision, strategy, and story all move in concert. Rather than limiting her practice to on-set execution, she operates across the full arc of development and production, shaping the narrative, the team, and the infrastructure that make a project possible.

Her expertise spans fundraising, partnership cultivation, and cross-sector coalition building, allowing her to secure resources and align stakeholders around a shared artistic purpose. At the same time, she is deeply involved in story architecture and editorial refinement, offering the kind of narrative guidance that elevates a project's emotional, structural, and cultural resonance. Ms. Hernández excels at shepherding editors and creative teams through complex revisions, bringing forward the strongest version of each film while preserving the director's voice.

Across all her work—from Diosa Films to her consulting practice—she is known for identifying the core truth of a project, clarifying what must be protected, and orchestrating the conditions that allow the work to expand in scale, ambition, and impact.

Apart from her dedication to Diosa Films LLC, Ms. Hernandez was appointed to the board of Inwood Art Works in 2025, further demonstrating her commitment to supporting the arts community in New York. Before founding Diosa Films LLC, Ms. Hernandez held several influential roles across prominent film organizations. Ms. Hernandez served as the global roster director at Ghetto Film School from 2021 to 2023, where she managed international talent pipelines and fostered industry partnerships, producing 29 films during her tenure. In 2021, Ms. Hernandez held various roles, including industry coordinator for the Tribeca Film Festival, documentary meeting coordinator for The Gotham Film & Media Institute, and selection committee member for Catapult Film, and SFFILM. She also associate-produced the 2020 Sundance Award-winning film: Aftershock. She co-directed "EL Domino" in 2015 and "Un Trabajo Honesto" in 2016, and directed award winning "A Cake for Me" in 2024.

Ms. Hernandez's academic achievements include earning a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Wellesley College in Massachusetts in 2013 and a Master of Fine Arts in social documentary, cum laude, from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2020.

Active in the community, Ms. Hernandez is a member of Brown Girls Black Mafia and of the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance. She has been a donor to the Dominican Day Parade and to the Chocolate Factory Theater.

Besides film she is currently exhibiting two photographs at the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance Gallery: Sustenance and Survival.

In 2025, while based in the Dominican Republic, Ms. Hernandez prepared for two major film screenings, one at El Centro Leon, the largest cultural museum in the country's second-largest city, Santiago, and another in her hometown SAJOMA, San Jose De Las Matas, sponsored by La Cooperativa San Jose, where approximately 200 people were welcomed to each screening, marking significant milestones in her career.

Ms. Hernandez's professional excellence is reflected by numerous honors, including being named a semi-finalist for the United States Fulbright Fellowship in 2025. She was previously recognized as a fellow with Repair the World, a New York Leadership Fellow, and an awardee of the American Association of University Women fellowship in 2020. Ms. Hernandez remains passionate about film and building her production company, reflecting her enduring dedication to both creative expression and organizational leadership within the arts sector.
