As the president of ECI Vending since 2025, he has managed all aspects of the vending operation, including product purchasing, inventory management, financial oversight and regular machine servicing. Mr. Dowling's hands-on approach ensures that each vending location is maintained efficiently and profitably.

Among other ventures, Mr. Dowling assumed the role of president at Dowling Logistics Inc. in 2024, where he oversees approximately 35 employees and manages a contract with FedEx to operate package and delivery ground routes across designated zip codes. He leads three managers who supervise the broader team, while personally handling human resources, payroll processing, back-office operations, bill payments and strategic decisions regarding fleet acquisition and sales. Mr. Dowling is also responsible for much of the hiring and firing process, ensuring that the company maintains high standards in its workforce.

Additionally, since 2023, Mr. Dowling has served as the president of Dowling Dumpster Rentals. In this capacity, he operates as a one-person enterprise, managing every facet of the business from hauling dumpsters to job sites and rental facilities to handling pickups, unloading and financial tracking. Mr. Dowling's entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his ability to manage operations independently while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.

Mr. Dowling takes particular pride in having launched his logistics business, Dowling Logistics Inc., without investing personal funds up front. By securing investors for half of the required capital and negotiating with a seller to acquire essential contracts, he leveraged those agreements to obtain a Small Business Administration loan to purchase trucks. This creative approach allowed Mr. Dowling to establish his company on a solid financial footing while minimizing personal risk.

Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Dowling built a strong foundation in sales and management roles. From 2023 to 2024, he was a field sales manager at Muncie Power Products, responsible for the western U.S. Between 2021 and 2023, Mr. Dowling served as a regional sales manager for TAWI North America, a brand by Piab Group based in Sweden, overseeing sales across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.

From 2016 to 2021, Mr. Dowling worked in sales at Smith Industrial Group Inc., representing 12 to 15 manufacturing companies across Indiana as a territory representative. His responsibilities included developing client relationships and driving revenue growth across the state. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dowling was a project manager at Marion Steel Fabrication Inc. between 2012 and 2016. He began his professional journey in electrical sales and delivery at Menards in 2010, followed by his role as an items processor at First Merchants Bank from 2011 to 2012.
