LOUISVILLE, KY, December 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sarah Fryman has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Currently serving as the nutrition programs coordinator at Dare to Care Food Bank, which strives to end hunger in Kentuckiana by providing for individuals, families and communities in need, Mrs. Fryman has distinguished herself as a leading expert in health and wellness. In her role since 2022, she is responsible for teaching individuals how to prepare nutritious meals, developing weekly recipes for instructional classes, managing communications and coordinating interviews with potential volunteers.

Additionally, Mrs. Fryman schedules meetings with prospective partners interested in hosting Cooking Matters, a program she co-leads with her supervisor. This initiative provides a four- to six-week culinary and nutrition education experience, where participants learn to shop, cook and eat healthily on a budget. Unique to the program, attendees prepare two recipes during each class and receive ingredients to recreate those dishes at home.

A significant aspect of Mrs. Fryman's role at Dare to Care involves expanding programs for adults with disabilities. Under her leadership, the platform has grown from collaborating with one organization to partnering with 10 different groups, providing vital support and resources for adults with disabilities. She also oversees the life skills program, which features monthly culinary demonstrations designed to foster independence in the kitchen and beyond. These sessions cover a wide range of essential topics such as meal planning, food preparation, fire safety and swimming classes.

Mrs. Fryman finds great fulfillment in creating new nutrition experiences for participants and values Dare to Care's encouragement of creative approaches in its offerings. Her most meaningful achievement is witnessing the moment when someone comprehends what she is teaching, which continues to be a source of daily motivation and pride.

Prior to joining Dare to Care, Mrs. Fryman served as a nutrition services specialist in health and wellness for Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government from 2020 to 2022. In this role, she contributed to educational programs and public health initiatives that focused on improving community nutrition standards and promoting wellness platforms across the region.

From 2019 to 2020, Mrs. Fryman worked as a nutrition education consultant for the WIC Nutrition Program, where she provided guidance on best dietary practices for women, infants and children. Her responsibilities included developing educational materials and delivering workshops aimed at enhancing nutritional meals and outcomes for families.

Mrs. Fryman was also a program coordinator at HealthCorps Inc., where she managed health education programs that targeted youth populations, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating habits, physical activity and leadership experience. She began her foundational experience in the field as a dietetic intern at Marshall University from 2017 to 2018, during which she gained practical training in clinical nutrition, food service management and community outreach.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Fryman held the position of head assistant chef at Price Dinner Club for two years, during which she honed her culinary skills and developed her understanding of large-scale meal preparation. She also worked as a server at Chili's in 2015 and held roles as a hostess, togo girl, and server at O'Charley's from 2013 to 2014.

Complementing her professional journey in nutrition, Ms. Fryman spent three years as a tennis coach at Blairwood Tennis Swim, where she taught the fundamentals of tennis and promoted physical fitness among youth athletes while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Before venturing onto her path in the nutritional health sector, Mrs. Fryman pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the University of Kentucky in 2016. During her studies, she was recognized on the dean's list in both 2013 and 2016 for academic excellence and was an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi.

To enhance her knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in institutional food service operations, Mrs. Fryman was certified in food handling, institutional purchasing and food and sanitation through ServSafe. Committed to ongoing professional development and expanding her network, she has been an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics since 2015.

Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Mrs. Fryman attributes her success to her passion for helping others understand how food interacts with the body and her enthusiasm for sharing knowledge about nutrition. She continues to take valuable lessons from the volunteers and chefs she collaborates with, integrating their valuable insights into her own teaching methods.

Dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities both inside and outside the workplace, Mrs. Fryman is civically engaged as an assistant coach with Special Olympics Kentucky — a role inspired by her personal connection through a sibling with Down syndrome. Also happily married, she enjoys playing sand volleyball and cherishes spending time with her husband and their dogs.

Looking to the future, Mrs. Fryman aims to share her expertise throughout her community; she firmly believes that even small lessons can create far-reaching positive effects as knowledge is passed along by those she teaches. She is committed to expanding the reach of Cooking Matters throughout its multi-county service area while assisting other regions interested in implementing similar programs by providing them with essential tools for success. Additionally, she aspires to assume greater leadership responsibilities within community-based nutrition initiatives, continuing her longstanding advocacy for accessible education on healthy living practices for all populations.
