SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, GA, December 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Richard Viall has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Viall's professional journey reflects a distinguished and multifaceted career in federal law enforcement, federal security and instruction. After a long and successful career, he retired and began a new journey as a writer and published author. Since 2022, Mr. Viall has been dedicating himself to research and writing, with a particular focus on biblical prophecy and eschatology. His work is deeply influenced by scriptural study and the writings of other authors, notably Hal Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth." Mr. Viall's analysis of generational timelines in biblical prophecy, especially regarding Israel's statehood in 1948, underscores his commitment to interpreting signs related to Christ's return.
An approach to writing that stems from a desire to clarify complex theological concepts for readers, Mr. Viall notes that many works on EndTimes prophecy use ambiguous terminology. Striving for clarity by defining terms such as "tribulation" within their scriptural context, his book "The Next Medo-Persian Empire," published by WestBowPress in 2021, explores eschatological themes centered on the predicted reformation of the Medo-Persian Empire, a geopolitical entity encompassing Iran, Iraq, possibly Turkey and Afghanistan, governed by both political and religious leaders as prophesied in Daniel chapters seven through nine.
Having begun his diverse career in 1977 as a corrections officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons – at the Federal Penitentiary in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Viall advanced through roles over the next 30 years to become a senior officer specialist from 1981 to 1984, a correctional counselor between 1984 and 1989, where he provided guidance and support to inmates while ensuring institutional order, followed by the role of firearms instructor from 1989 to 1997. He then spent another decade as a staff training instructor until 2007.
Mr. Viall was subsequently acquired as a firearms instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, following the events of September 11th, due to a shortage of qualified personnel. In this role, he trained federal officers in firearms proficiency and safety protocols until 2011. Additionally, Mr. Viall succeeded as a security officer at The GEO Group Inc. from 2018 to 2019, at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) processing center in Georgia. His responsibilities included maintaining facility security and ensuring the safety of staff and detainees. Moreover, Mr. Viall served as a senior instructor with General Dynamics Information Technology between 2018 and 2019, drawing on decades of experience in federal service for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Having begun with military service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Viall served his country from 1974 to 1977. This foundational experience instilled discipline and leadership skills that would inform his subsequent roles in federal law enforcement. He is a Vietnam era veteran.
Mr. Viall's educational background included coursework in criminal justice and police science at Victor Valley College in California. He also attended Burlington County College in New Jersey while he was in the U.S. Army.
Throughout his career, Mr. Viall has been actively involved in several organizations. He is a member of the American Legion, the Coastal Georgia Gun Club, the Fraternal Order of Police and the National Rifle Association. Furthermore, he participated in the pistol team at Lewisburg Penitentiary and has been active with the International Fellowships of Christians and Jews, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, the Southeast Georgia Humane Society, and the Old Savannah City Mission.
Mr. Viall's dedication has been recognized with awards, including several Step Increase Awards from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Looking ahead, he is preparing for significant developments within the Middle East's political landscape, events he believes are aligned with biblical prophecy, and remains committed to sharing his insights through continued research and writing.
