Since 2023, Mr. Grogan has served as principal consultant at Luthi, LLC in the Greater Chicago Area. Drawing upon his comprehensive understanding of both research and practical application across multiple marketing channels, he leverages his extensive background to advise clients on strategic marketing initiatives. His ability to collaborate with business teams is rooted in his early experience in sales, which provided him with valuable firsthand insight into the needs of both organizations and their clients.

Before joining Luthi, Mr. Grogan held the position of head of product marketing at OneAmerica in Indianapolis for over two years. With a focus on financial solutions, employee benefits and retirement services, he developed business-to-business engagement strategies by utilizing audience segmentation, market analytics and industry trends to support revenue and growth objectives. His leadership facilitated the development of innovative approaches to marketing product innovations, further solidifying his reputation as a forward-thinking marketer.

Over the course of 10 years, Mr. Grogan excelled as vice president of institutional acquisition marketing at Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) in Chicago. He played a pivotal role in aiding business teams and their clients with marketing strategies for employee engagement with retirement planning across 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans. Throughout his tenure, he was responsible for acquisition marketing efforts, collaborating closely with sales teams to attract new clients while maintaining relationships with existing constituencies.

During this period, Mr. Grogan championed the concept of needs-based selling at TIAA — a significant departure from traditional transactional approaches within the financial services industry. This shift emphasized understanding customer needs and aligning products and services, accordingly, highlighting his deep understanding of both audience motivations and market dynamics.

From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Grogan served as vice president of marketing at Diversified Investment Advisors in Harrison, New York. In this role, he developed comprehensive marketing strategies that supported business growth and client engagement with mid-to-large retirement plan prospects.

Mr. Grogan's tenure at Nationwide Financial in Columbus, Ohio, spanned nearly two decades and included several key positions. As a senior marketing director from 2004 to 2006, he spearheaded planning and campaign activities for mutual funds, life and retirement accounts. Early in his experience, he spent four years as the channel marketing director for corporate retirement plans, where he gained valuable experience in market consulting, product development and sales management. Initially joining Nationwide Financial as a communication manager for the public sector retirement channel from 1989 to 1995, Mr. Grogan developed personalized communication programs for numerous institutional clients. Throughout each of these roles, he demonstrated outstanding versatility by managing research initiatives, developing multi-channel campaigns and enhancing collaboration between departments.

Much of Mr. Grogan's success and leadership acumen stems from his equally accomplished academic background. While working at Nationwide Financial, he earned a Master of Science in marketing with a focus on strategic market planning from Franklin University in 1998. He also completed a master's degree in marketing with an emphasis on strategy and research at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1991 as well as a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and business communication from Northern Illinois University in 1981.

A dedicated member of the American Marketing Association, he has consistently sought opportunities for continued professional growth by staying informed about developments in marketing and financial services — a quality he credits as central to his success.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. Grogan has also contributed significantly to civic organizations. He serves as a board member for Esperanza — which provides essential education and life skills for underserved communities — as well as his local homeowners association. Additionally, he is an advisory council member for The Lovis Foundation, which organizes events and partnerships in support of youth with disabilities.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Grogan enjoys exploring history, following baseball — particularly supporting the Chicago Cubs — trying new cuisines and traveling. Looking toward the future, he intends to dedicate more time to collaborating with local organizations while potentially extending his support to additional nonprofit groups. His journey stands as a testament to adaptability, innovation and a steadfast commitment to understanding the needs of his clients — qualities that continue to define his legacy within marketing, financial services and beyond.
