CANDOR, NY, December 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edward Cornelius has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Cornelius currently serves as a distance learning technology specialist in Systems Engineering at Cornell University, a position he has held since 2010. In this capacity, he is responsible for publishing classes for distance learning students, assisting professors in familiarizing themselves with technical equipment, recording and editing class sessions, and producing promotional videos and event photography for the department. He is also an audiovisual specialist, photographer and video producer at Cornell, where he continues to expand the university's digital learning initiatives. Alongside these positions, he has owned and operated Jacob Cornelius Photography since 1987, providing professional photography services while honing his skills in visual storytelling and creative direction.

From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Cornelius worked as a sound engineer, lighting technician and stage technician with Pro Audio Consulting, where he would mix live audio for special events and concerts, large national sales meetings and fashion shows. He also managed other technical aspects of event production. In 2010, he served as the coordinator of technical and event services at Salisbury University in Maryland, overseeing audiovisual support for campus events.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Cornelius was an audiovisual technician at Keuka College from 2005 until 2010, during which time he provided technical support for classroom instruction and technical aspects of new classroom construction. Between 2001 and 2005, he held the role of audiovisual coordinator at the Corning Museum of Glass.

From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Cornelius served as a video production editor, camera operator and projection technician at Media Center Production Company in Rochester, NY. He began his professional journey as a production videographer and editor at WROC-TV Channel 8 from 1987 until 1998, gaining extensive experience in broadcast television through video shooting, audio recording and mixing, video editing and photography.

Instrumental in equipping Mr. Cornelius with the leadership skills and technical knowledge necessary for his multifaceted roles was his academic background. He earned an associate degree in communications technology from Monroe Community College in 1987, followed by a Bachelor of Science in organizational management from Keuka College in 2008.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Cornelius has further enhanced his expertise through several certifications. These include the Turning Point Leadership Program Certificate from Cornell University in 2023, certified technology specialist designation from AVIXA, and other certificates in electronics, video editing and photography. Among his professional accolades are the EPICC Award from the College of Engineering at Cornell University and an Emmy Award for the "Lest We Forget" project while at WROC-TV.
