ATLANTA, GA, December 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra "Debbie" Ginocchio has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Ginocchio has distinguished herself as a dedicated leader and advocate for community welfare through her work with Sweetwater Mission in Austell. Since joining the organization as a board member in 2015, she has quickly demonstrated her fundraising and event-planning expertise by orchestrating a golf tournament that raised over $50,000. Recognizing her talent and commitment, the board invited Ms. Ginocchio to step down from her board position to assume the role of development director, where she has since played a pivotal role in expanding the mission's reach and impact.

As the development director, Ms. Ginocchio oversees a comprehensive range of operations at Sweetwater Mission. She manages the warehouse, coordinates food deliveries, and ensures families receive essential support year-round. Under her leadership, the organization now serves approximately 1,700 families each week and distributes more than four million pounds of food annually. During Thanksgiving, Ms. Ginocchio spearheads efforts to provide turkeys and side dishes to 2,500 families in a single week, securing competitive prices through partnerships with suppliers such as Sysco and other organizations.

Ms. Ginocchio's commitment extends beyond the mission's walls. She organizes service at a dozen different locations weekly, including churches in Powder Springs and Mableton, Georgia, three extended-stay hotels, mobile home parks and other nonprofits, such as battered women's shelters. She also supports men's and women's rehabilitation facilities and assists local companies in providing food to their employees and communities.

Among other accomplishments since joining Sweetwater Mission, Ms. Ginocchio secured a $100,000 grant for Cobb County, further underscoring her effectiveness in resource development. She was also credited with launching the Cornerstone Partner Program, which now comprises more than 25 partners contributing a minimum of $5,000 annually.

Ms. Ginocchio's professional journey before Sweetwater Mission included more than 15 years in the restaurant business, where she honed her skills in operations management, event planning and customer service. This experience provided a strong foundation for her current role, equipping her with expertise in fundraising, partner development, warehouse management and large-scale food distribution.

Ms. Ginocchio's educational background includes earning a diploma from Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia. Her professional affiliations reflect her deep engagement with the business and civic community. She participates in the South Cobb Business Association, the Marietta Business Association, the Austell Business Association and the Kennesaw Business Association. Additionally, Ms. Ginocchio is an active member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta South Cobb, where she has been instrumental in supporting 5K runs and various initiatives to achieve organizational goals.

In light of her achievements, Ms. Ginocchio has received recognition from prominent media outlets, including Atlanta News First and WSB-TV. She also received Citizen of the Year honors from Precinct 2 of Cobb County Government in 2018, was named South Cobb Citizen of the Year in 2022 and received the Woman of the Year Award in 2023.

Ms. Ginocchio attributes much of her success to the supportive colleagues who share her passion for helping others and to the guidance of her mother, Pat Soden, who became executive director of Sweetwater Mission in 2021. Under Ms. Soden's leadership, the organization adopted a business-minded approach that enabled it to grow from serving 300 families per week to its current scale of 1700 families per week.

Eager for the future, Ms. Ginocchio's ongoing objectives include sustaining Sweetwater Mission through consistent donations so it can continue serving an increasing number of families in need. She remains committed to securing free food for those assisted by the mission while supporting local economic growth and promoting trade school opportunities for future generations seeking better-paying jobs. Ms. Ginocchio's unwavering dedication continues to make a significant difference in the lives of countless families across Atlanta and surrounding communities.
