Prior to his current position, Mr. Morthland owned and operated Mammoth Spring Apiary in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, from 2020 to 2025. This venture stands as one of his most notable achievements. He developed the honeybee business from modest beginnings into a thriving operation with 300 hives. Although not highly profitable, the apiary experienced impressive growth and expansion under his leadership. The daily demands of beekeeping proved both challenging and rewarding, allowing Mr. Morthland and his wife to pursue their shared passion for entrepreneurship and agriculture.
From 2020 to 2021, Mr. Morthland served as the chief executive officer of Veteran Outreach Program Inc. in Salem, Arkansas. In this role, he led initiatives supporting veterans through outreach programs and charitable efforts that strengthened the local community. His leadership contributed to the organization's mission of providing vital resources and support to fellow veterans.
Between 2014 and 2018, Mr. Morthland was the owner and chief executive officer of Panama City Honey Company. He oversaw all aspects of the business, from production to sales, further honing his skills in small business management and agricultural operations. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, he owned CG Custom Counter Tops, where he also worked as an installer. This role gave Mr. Morthland valuable hands-on experience in custom fabrication and customer service.
Mr. Morthland's professional journey began with distinguished military service in the United States Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. From 2012 to 2014, he was Operations Manager for the police division within the Directorate of Emergency Services. He previously served as First Sergeant with the 209th Military Police Detachment from 2010 to 2012 and Operations Sergeant with the 545th Military Police Company from 2008 to 2010, deploying the unit to Iraq. These roles instilled in him strong leadership abilities and a disciplined approach to management, qualities that have been instrumental throughout his subsequent entrepreneurial ventures.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Morthland is actively involved in several industry organizations. He is a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®, a lifetime member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, as well as Gun Owners of America and the Booming Bookkeeping Mentorship Group.
Mr. Morthland's academic background includes a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He also holds an associate degree from Sonoran Desert Institute. In addition to his degrees, Mr. Morthland has earned certifications in welding from Tom P. Haney Technical College and carpentry from York Vocational School.

Born in York, PA Mr. Morthland values time spent with family and enjoys riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, raising koi and angelfish and relaxing on the back porch with his dogs and wife.
