He also holds certification from the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association as a practitioner and instructor. He credits much of his inspiration to early exposure to medical innovation; with a father who contributed to the invention of the heart-lung machine, Mr. FitzPatrick developed an interest in medical instrumentation at age eight and designed and built his first medical instrument at the age of sixteen during which time he completed an eight thousand hour course based at Eli Whitney Technical College in manufacturing techniques.

He deeply values family and enjoys spending time with his wife, Elaine, and five children.
