Prior to his current role, Mr. Anumula contributed his knowledge as a senior coaching consultant at Peak Sports Apex in Apex, North Carolina, in 2025. During this period, he provided strategic guidance on coaching methodologies and player development, further solidifying his reputation as an expert in the discipline.

Also in 2025, Mr. Anumula was involved with Triangle Badminton Club in Morrisville, North Carolina, where he played a key role in elite coaching operations. His responsibilities included developing training programs for advanced athletes and supporting the club's competitive initiatives. Under his coaching, one of his students earned a bronze medal at the USA Badminton Junior National Championships, reflecting his effectiveness in high-performance athlete development. Earlier that year, he completed an internship in operations and coaching at Triangle Badminton Club, gaining valuable experience in both administrative functions and hands-on athlete training.

In 2024, Mr. Anumula interned at Houston Badminton Academy in Houston, Texas, where he assisted with daily operations and contributed to coaching sessions for aspiring players. That same year, he served as a graduate student assistant at Texas Tech University's Kinesiology and Sport Management department in Lubbock, Texas. In this academic setting, he supported faculty research and helped coordinate departmental activities.

From 2020 to 2023, Mr. Anumula held dual roles as an assistant badminton coach and sparring partner at Suchitra Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He was instrumental in mentoring young athletes while also providing high-level practice support for elite players. Notably, during this period he joined Olympic medalist and world champion P.V. Sindhu as a sparring partner after winning junior national bronze medals. World Championships medalist and Olympian Sai Praneeth B later served as a mentor, offering guidance that significantly influenced Mr. Anumula's development as both an athlete and a coach. Despite facing significant adversity due to six knee surgeries that forced him to pause his competitive playing career, these experiences reignited his passion for the sport and marked a pivotal turning point that led him to pursue professional opportunities in the United States.

Mr. Anumula's journey as a professional athlete began with the Badminton Association of India from 2010 to 2023 in Hyderabad, Telangana. He started playing badminton at the age of 10 and became a national medalist by age 13, demonstrating early dedication and competitive excellence.

Academically, Mr. Anumula earned a master's degree in sport management from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, in 2025. He previously completed a Bachelor of Arts at North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) in India in 2020. He also holds several certifications that enhance his coaching credentials: BWF Coach Education Level 1 from the Badminton World Federation, concussion in sports from NFHS, fundamentals of coaching from NFHS, NFHS coach level 1 from NFHS, physical sciences from CITI Program, SafeSport trained from U.S. Center for SafeSport, plagiarism training from CITI Program and coach certification from USA Badminton.

His commitment to professional development is reflected through active memberships with the Badminton World Federation and USA Badminton. These affiliations underscore his standing within the international badminton community. Mr. Anumula attributes his success to discipline and consistency, qualities that have enabled him to overcome setbacks and continually progress within his field. He emphasizes learning from failures as essential for personal growth and professional achievement.

He also credits the unwavering support of his parents, particularly his father, who encouraged him to believe in himself during some of the most challenging periods of his athletic journey.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Anumula has demonstrated civic engagement through various roles, including event assistant for a 5K run at Texas Tech University in 2023, event assistant and sports coordinator at Suchitra Badminton Academy from 2021 to 2022, and donor to various charities across India. His athletic accomplishments include earning numerous state champion medals and securing seven national-level medals.

In his personal life, Mr. Anumula enjoys watching movies and playing cricket. Looking ahead, he is dedicated to enhancing his club's offerings and promoting badminton as a sport of choice among broader audiences who may currently favor pickleball or tennis.
