Mr. Mazzenga's entry into the construction field was influenced by his family's legacy. Born into a family deeply rooted in the industry, he was inspired by his father's journey from Italy, beginning as a dishwasher and construction laborer, without English language skills and rising to become vice president of D'Ambra Construction Company Inc. Working alongside his father for much of life from the age of five, as he idolized who his father was and what he stood for and accomplished. Fighting for everything had to be earned, never given. This drove and propelled his career; Mr. Mazzenga distinguished himself by becoming the youngest superintendent in Rhode Island at age 24.

Mr. Mazzenga has established a distinguished career spanning over 36 plus years in the construction and engineering sectors, earning recognition for his expertise in heavy highway roads and bridges, as well as the total reconstruction of travel infrastructure. His professional journey is marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to quality, efficiency and innovation.

In 2025, Mr. Mazzenga assumed the role of Chief Resident Representative at Engineered Consultants Inc., where he is responsible for mentoring future generations of foremen, superintendents, project managers and engineers in all areas of heavy roads and bridges, as well as industrial water and wastewater treatment plants for ECI at which he plans on finishing his career. As such, he is tasked with reviewing project plans, specifications and ensuring the highest quality standards for projects between $20 million and $100 million. He also monitors budgets and oversees the overall execution of projects, managing a team of approximately 60 resident inspectors distributed across Florida and New England.

Before pivoting into consulting, Mr. Mazzenga served as a senior general superintendent at D'Ambra Construction Inc. from 2018 to 2022. In this capacity, he directed large-scale civil construction projects, leveraging his deep industry knowledge to drive operational excellence. Mr. Mazzenga also worked as a senior civil general superintendent at D'Ambra Construction Inc., where he oversaw complex infrastructure initiatives for more than 30 years, from 1987 to 2022. His tenure also included a focused period from 2016 to 2018 as senior civil superintendent, during which he managed teams and resources for critical roadway and bridge projects.

Apart from his work in the construction sector, Mr. Mazzenga's expertise in information technology (IT) and security was evident through his role as a senior vulnerability security engineer at SecureWorks from 2014 to 2023. In this capacity, he contributed to safeguarding digital assets and enhancing organizational resilience against cyber threats and the capture and institutionalization of major foreign and domestic adversaries, leading to their incarceration at the local and federal penitentiary levels. Additionally, in 2017, he served as an IT advisor and security specialist with Dell Technologies, further broadening his technical acumen.

Mr. Mazzenga's educational background has been instrumental in shaping his multifaceted career. He attended West Warwick High School from 1984 -1987 as an industrial arts major, specializing and exposing him to all facets of hands on construction, such as mechanical drawing, welding, mechanical math, wood working, auto mechanics all which provided the foundation for him to continue onto attend New England Institute of Technology in 1990 for Electrical engineering and attended Roger Williams University in 1991-1992 for estimating, architecture and topography. Mr. Mazzenga also holds many credentials that have enhanced his technical proficiency, including a senior systems analyst certification and VMware cloud and Linux virtualization credentials. Also adding to his construction proficiencies, he still obtains his Heavy equipment operators license, pipelayers and sewer ISDS licenses, and Concealed carry weapons permit in 45 states across America, due to the nature of his work in the cyber security world as part of his career, having threat actors incarcerated and put into local and federal penitentiaries.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Mazzenga is civically engaged as a donor and supporter of local food drives, donating to various charities such as cancer research and Alzheimer's research, reflecting his commitment to community welfare.
