In this capacity, he oversees senior foremen and night crews, supervises production operations and manages production costs. His responsibilities also include minimizing lifting and chemical expenses, ensuring production efficiency and supporting staff development. Prior to joining Spur Energy Partners LLC, Mr. Kidd was employed as a disposal specialist at Oxy from 2018 to 2019. In this role, he was responsible for managing the safe and efficient disposal of oilfield byproducts, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and supporting overall field operations.

Mr. Kidd's professional journey commenced as an entry-level drilling rig hand in Texas from 1981 to 1983, where he acquired essential technical knowledge that would underpin his future advancement. From 1983 to 1984, Mr. Kidd served as a tool pusher on drilling rigs throughout Texas, overseeing drilling crews and ensuring the safe operation of equipment.

In 1985, he joined E. D. Walton in Snyder, Texas as an operations roustabout, where he developed skills in project coordination and site management. This position provided him with valuable exposure to fieldwork and operational logistics. He continued roustabout work with Western Oilfield Service in Midland, Texas, from 1985 to 1986, and Holcombe Pump Service from 1986-1987, working as a roustabout, pusher, backhoe operator, and a water well servicing operator.

His earlier experience also includes more than two decades as a roustabout and lease operator at ConocoPhillips from 1987 to 2008. In this foundational role, Mr. Kidd gained hands-on experience in oilfield operations, equipment maintenance and site safety practices. In 2008, Kenny was promoted to Production Foreman at ConocoPhillips where he served until 2013. He was tasked with supervising crews, monitoring equipment performance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. His ability to manage multiple teams across various sites demonstrated his capacity for leadership in dynamic environments.

Kenny then worked as a production foreman at Devon Energy from 2013 to 2014, where he supervised field personnel and oversaw routine maintenance activities. He played a key role in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing process improvements.

From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Kidd held the position of production superintendent at Devon Energy. During his tenure, he managed large-scale production teams and coordinated daily operations to maximize output while maintaining safety standards. His leadership contributed to the successful execution of complex projects and the achievement of organizational goals.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kidd has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability by progressing steadily from entry-level positions to senior leadership roles. He is particularly proud of successfully managing multiple teams and large-scale operations across several companies within the energy sector. Additionally, he has diversified his professional efforts into property management and cattle raising while overcoming industry layoffs to continue thriving in his chosen field.

Mr. Kidd completed coursework at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas. Although he did not complete a degree program, the academic foundation provided by his studies contributed to his analytical approach and problem-solving abilities within the oilfield industry. His decision to enter the profession was influenced by an opportunity presented by a friend during his first year at Lubbock Christian University; the prospect of immediate employment led him to pursue a career in the oil industry, beginning in 1981.

He attributes his success to the broad range of experiences acquired throughout decades in the oilfield industry and his willingness to embrace new challenges by transitioning from field roles into supervisory and superintendent positions. Mr. Kidd also credits the support of his wife and family, along with the work ethic instilled by his farming background as key factors in his achievements.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Kidd enjoys trading stocks, raising cattle, traveling to check on livestock, managing rental properties, and time with his grandchildren. Looking ahead, he plans to retire from formal oilfield work while focusing more on cattle farming on family land in Texas, continuing property management activities in Carlsbad and maintaining an active interest in stock trading.
