Prior to founding his businesses, Mr. Provencal held the position of senior mechanic at Hutchinson Aerospace & Industrial in 2022. In this capacity, he applied his advanced skills in machine fabrication and power transmission to support aerospace manufacturing operations.
From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Provencal was senior machinist and mechanic at Pinetree Power Fitchburg. During this period, he contributed to the maintenance and optimization of power generation equipment, further honing his expertise in mechanical problem-solving.
Between 2001 and 2011, Mr. Provencal served as plant manager at Universal Machine and Design. Over this decade-long tenure, he managed daily plant operations, coordinated production schedules and led teams responsible for delivering high-quality machining solutions.
Mr. Provencal's early career began at Merit Machine Manufacturing, where he worked as a machinist from 1994 to 2001. This foundational experience provided him with hands-on knowledge in manual and computer numerical control machining processes.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Provencal has been recognized for his innovative contributions to the industry. Notably, while working in the power plant sector, he developed an explosion-proof firebox door capable of being opened remotely, a solution that earned him a nomination for the Innovation Award from ENGIE North America in 2021. Although unable to patent the invention due to company policy regarding employee innovations, this achievement underscores his technical ingenuity.
His educational background includes coursework in electronics at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, graduating in 1992. Mr. Provencal pursued postgraduate studies in manual and computer numerical control machining at the same institution, equipping him with advanced technical skills that have been instrumental throughout his career.
Mr. Provencal holds several certifications that attest to his expertise, including hoisting engineer 1C, 2A and 3A from Massachusetts, TVSR Stage 2, BobCAD-CAM certification, CNC programming certification and SURFCAM certification.
