Before founding Ben-Meir Law Group, Mr. Ben-Meir served as a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright from 2013 to 2023. His tenure at Hogan & Hartson from 2001 to 2010, and as a partner from 2006, further solidified his reputation as a leader in intellectual property law, handling high-stakes cases, district court cases and arbitrations that routinely involved multifaceted technology issues. From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Ben-Meir was a partner at Alston & Bird LLP, where he continued to expand his expertise in patent litigation and commercial disputes, and gained valuable experience litigating patent disputes before the International Trade Commission.

From 1988 to 1995, before entering the legal profession, Mr. Ben-Meir was a senior engineer at Litton Industries. Through his engineering experience building DARPA-funded systems for performing pattern detection and recognition, Mr. Ben-Meir developed a deep understanding of technology and innovation, which later proved instrumental in his legal practice. In recognition of his contributions to Litton, Mr. Ben-Meir received the company's esteemed Advanced Technology Achievement Award in 1993.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ben-Meir has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the Licensing Executive Society, the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Worldwide Independent Lawyers League. He earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1997, equipping him with the legal knowledge necessary for success in complex litigation. He also holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from California State University, Northridge, awarded in 1994, and a Bachelor of Science in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completed in 1988. His educational background has enabled him to approach disputes with both legal insight and technical proficiency.

He attributes his success to an ability to see the bigger picture and to focus on what clients ultimately are seeking. By viewing disputes from the client's perspective and employing creative problem-solving strategies, Mr. Ben-Meir strives to achieve outcomes that leave all parties satisfied with the resolution.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Ben-Meir is committed to civic engagement through pro bono adoption work at Downtown Los Angeles Courthouse. His dedication to service extends beyond the courtroom and reflects a broader commitment to supporting families and individuals within his community.
