CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD, January 13, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carlton Lloyd Robinson has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After nearly 40 years of success as a business owner and project manager, Mr. Robinson is now enjoying the retired life by writing and publishing, a pursuit that fulfills a lifelong aspiration. Now a successful author, he has published four books — including the well-received "Teardrops from the Sun" and "Omen of Goodness" — that dive into topics such as spiritualism, motivation, poetry and guidance for finding success in an ever-changing world. His commitment to literature is matched by his desire to leave a meaningful legacy for his grandchildren, inspiring them to strive for excellence and compassion in equal measure.

Before retiring to focus fully on his writing endeavors, Mr. Robinson owned and successfully managed Old School Carpentry from 1986 to 2022. In this capacity, he oversaw all aspects of the business, from administrative duties and procurement to drafting plans and directing his team. As he ensured that projects were executed efficiently and with the highest standards, his ability to coordinate complex operations and maintain smooth workflows became hallmarks of his management style.

Additionally, from 2000 to 2012, Mr. Robinson served as the owner of J. Arthur Brown Property Management. Also serving as a contractor there, he was responsible for property oversight, maintenance coordination and client relations, further honing his skills in both project management and customer service.

Earlier in his career, from 1998 to 2003, Mr. Robinson excelled as the lead carpenter and construction coordinator at Spars Inc. He was pivotal in supervising construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship and meeting strict deadlines, gaining valuable leadership experience that continued to inform his approach at Old School Carpentry and beyond.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Mr. Robinson pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Science in project management from ITT Technical Institute in 2013. To augment his knowledge and qualifications, he was certified in mastering project management by Villanova University in 2014.

The foundation for Mr. Robinson's work ethic was established early in life when his father encouraged him to seek practical experience immediately after graduating high school. This formative lesson instilled in him resilience and a proactive approach that would define his career trajectory. Despite his initial reluctance, he embraced responsibility and learned the importance of perseverance — a philosophy he carried into every professional endeavor and has passed along to his own children.

Mr. Robinson has been actively involved in charitable work throughout his life, particularly through volunteer efforts at nursing homes. His compassion for the elderly led him to dedicate significant time to visiting residents and supporting their well-being — a reflection of his broader values and desire to positively impact those around him.

Though his professional journey counts many highlights, Mr. Robinson takes the greatest pride in raising his four children with love and dedication. Additionally, he has received letters of appreciation from both President Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton, recognitions that hold special meaning for him.

In his personal life, Mr. Robinson enjoys watching sports on television — a passion rooted in his youth when he played football and basketball and attended wrestling matches at local stadiums. Also a devoted family man, he cherishes time spent with his four children and six grandchildren.

Determined to continue his writing pursuits, Mr. Robinson intends to release a fifth book based on his son's life with aspirations of adapting it into a movie. He also hopes to witness his six grandchildren graduate from college so he can share that milestone with them.

Mr. Robinson's journey from business ownership and project management to becoming a successful author is characterized by his steadfast focus amid challenges and an enduring quest to understand the deeper meaning of life — qualities that continue to inspire those around him as he strives to help others through everything he does.
