As a project manager at Harris & Associates Inc. in San Diego since 2023, she has served as a CEQA project manager, overseeing a diverse portfolio of development projects that range from single-family housing to large multifamily residential complex master plan developments. In this capacity, she coordinates with internal teams, meets with clients, reviews documents and provides comments and conducts field work as a noise technical specialist by performing noise surveys and taking noise measurements.

Prior to this role, Ms. Hawkins was a deputy project manager at Harris & Associates for two years, where she managed environmental review processes for various projects and ensured regulatory compliance, supporting senior managers in project execution and client communications. Her tenure as an environmental analyst at Harris & Associates for the preceding four years further solidified her analytical skills and understanding of environmental regulations.

Before joining Harris & Associates, Ms. Hawkins worked as a stormwater sampling technician consultant for KCM Group in the Greater San Diego Area from 2017 to 2018. Her earlier professional experience includes serving as a product development specialist at PVT Launchpad from 2016 to 2017, where she contributed to the design and implementation of new products. She also worked as a market research analyst at PrimeValue Technology in Los Angeles and as a sustainable farming intern at Renewable Farms in Anaheim. She began her career in product development and marketing at LinkPoints and as a student research assistant at San Diego State University.

Ms. Hawkins's commitment to professional growth is reflected in her active involvement with industry organizations. She has served as San Diego chapter director for the California Association of Environmental Professionals since 2025 and previously held the position of San Diego chapter president from 2022 to 2024. From 2018 to 2021, she was a student membership and outreach director for the same organization. Additionally, she has been a member of the American Planning Association since 2018.

Academically, Ms. Hawkins' background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She earned a master's degree in environmental studies from California State University, Fullerton in 2017 and holds a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from San Diego State University, graduating in 2015. Additionally, she has pursued a wide range of certifications that strengthen her professional expertise. She holds the Project Management Professional credential from the Project Management Institute, along with certifications in first aid and CPR, and hazardous communication and OSHA construction safety. She has also completed several professional development courses in project management and related topics, further deepening her technical and leadership skills.

Throughout her career, Ms. Hawkins has credited her success to the guidance of exceptional mentors who have influenced her professional development and leadership style. Her dedication has been recognized through several awards, including the Leadership Award from Order of Omega, Dean's List recognition by the Dean of San Diego State University, Nestle Scholarship Award from Nestle USA and induction into the National Honor Society at Orange Lutheran High School.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Hawkins has demonstrated civic engagement through various roles, such as secretary of the Environmental Science Student Society from 2014 to 2015 and food server at Urban Angels Soup Kitchen from 2013 to 2015. Her commitment to community service is further evidenced by her contributions as part of the donations team for the Kiwanis Club in 2012.

In her personal life, Ms. Hawkins enjoys hiking, visiting national parks, golfing, playing beach volleyball and reading as hobbies. Looking ahead, she aims to advance as a project manager and become a director to make an even greater impact in the environmental field.
