GODLEY, TX, January 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra F. Scott has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Scott currently serves as event director at Zoom Wellness, a position she has held since 2022. In this capacity, she collaborates closely with designated company representatives, leveraging her educational portfolio and providing free wellness workshops and related services at the convenience of participating companies. Through teamwork at Zoom Wellness, she contributes to online education seminars focusing on wellness in an individual's financials that includes retirement planning, saving and debt management, to name a few, enhancing their overall wellness, thus resulting in organizations supporting future, more informed employee decisions.

Prior to her current role from 2016 to 2018, Ms. Scott served as director, business operations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS). During this period, she oversaw critical operational functions within the agency, drawing on her extensive background of ensuring effective management, oversight and delivery of security services in over 9,000 federal facilities in the United States and its Territories.

From 2009 to 2016, Ms. Scott served as director, project management, DHS, FPS. In this leadership position, she established this new division, which provided support to the agency's overall operations in direct line with its $1 billion facility security program, despite having no prior experience in federal contracting. Her efforts were instrumental in enhancing the agency's operational capabilities by developing a new professional full-time position that included its own specialized training program for improved readiness and protection at all federal facilities.

From 2003 to 2009, Ms. Scott served in the role of senior program manager, DHS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP). She led the effort modernizing, automating and the continuous upgrade of the agency's known traveler platform that included the Global Entry System program, which streamlines the security process for pre-approved travelers entering the United States by air, resulting in a significant innovation in border security even today.

Ms. Scott's career in federal service began more than three decades ago with the U.S. Department of Defense at White Sands Missile Range. Initially working part-time in the commissary, she transitioned to a full-time position 18 months later when a hiring freeze was lifted. This opportunity led her into government travel administration, where she gained valuable insights into the travel industry before joining the U.S. Customs Service (USCS) under the Department of Treasury in 1993. Upon joining the USCS, she served in the Inspector position carrying a weapon performing customs, immigration and over 40 other federal agencies laws working on the southern border. From there in 1997, she entered into the world of revenue collection within USCS gaining indebt knowledge in finance and budgeting, thereafter, returning to the US CBP officer position in 2003 after USCS transitioned under DHS. Over her 32-year tenure with the federal government, she developed expertise across multiple agencies and functions, as her positions varied, allowing her to grow and advance broadly, professionally.

Her academic achievements have been integral to her professional success. In 2002 and 2004, Ms. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in social psychology at Park University and a Master of Arts in management at Webster University, respectively. These degrees provided her with a strong foundation in organizational leadership and human behavior, skills that proved essential throughout her government career and subsequent roles in wellness education. In addition, she holds the Project Management Professional certification, which further guided her to success in leading complex projects, managing large-scale programs, and developing effective organizational systems.

She has taken on recent endeavors that are slowly unfolding, a clear sign that she is not done. Inspired by the difference in her growing up as a child versus her grandgirl, she is documenting her personal experiences with a spin! A not-so-distant conversation with her eldest daughter, who remarked that she really didn't have a childhood, Ms. Scott is now reflecting on her life and its unique experiences and challenges, now including growing up and through military and public service life.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Scott is dedicated to physical fitness and enjoys working out regularly. She loves reading, traveling and exploring other cultures with the plan of purchasing a home to live overseas. She is having fun discovering herself, using nature in her backyard to ignite her creativity, and stepping out into the world of modeling - all so unexpected, not in her plan! She admits that her innate curiosity has driven many of what others see as "risks" allowing society in many ways to dictate. Without risks, she has learned that reward will never happen. She operates with the perspective, "Until she's told, "no" then there's a possibility of a "yes." Even if the endeavor didn't work out, she knows there is a lesson somewhere in the experience itself.

Ms. Scott is the mother of two daughters and grandmother of a grandgirl, whose well-being has influenced both her personal interests and professional endeavors, which include financial education in all generations. Her awareness of generational wealth is built into her legacy still unfolding. Throughout her distinguished public service career, Ms. Scott demonstrated perseverance, adaptability and resilience, having committed to making meaningful contributions across diverse fields. Her current endeavors will require these same attributes to position her for success.

In closing, she recalls a conversation with a close friend when the modeling audition invite came saying, "I'm going because I'm curious. At worst, I will be told no." Having lived with the notion, "Until they tell me, "No," it's a "Yes," her challenge was will she be bold, brave enough to do the audition. Without taking this "risk," she would have missed being told "yes", several times leading to this experience way outside of her comfort zone but exciting.

She encourages other women to seize opportunities and explore new experiences that might be traditionally seen as off-limits.
