Mr. Pineda's academic background includes two associate degrees in communications Santa Barbara City College, and fire service accreditation from Louisiana State University . Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning and professional growth, he is certified as a first-aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) instructor with the American Red Cross and holds asbestos building inspector certification from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Furthermore, Mr. Pineda is certified as an instructional trainer by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, in community emergency response by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security, and holds several more certificates in safety management, firefighting, construction risk management and electrical safety.
