During this time, he was also employed by Apple as an AppleCare Advisor, where his aptitude for problem-solving and leadership led to his promotion to a managerial position, the youngest in the company.
Following graduation, Mr. Shakespeare began his career at Lutron Electronics as a field engineer. Although building automation was not initially aligned with his long-term vision, he recognized it as an opportunity to develop deep technical expertise and quickly grew to love the field. He committed himself to mastering lighting controls systems, a decision that would become foundational to his career trajectory and professional distinction.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shakespeare has contributed to several high-profile, complex projects, including the United States Embassy in London, Meta's data center in Dublin, and Apple's corporate headquarters in California. His work on these initiatives reflects both technical rigor and the ability to operate effectively within large-scale, mission-critical environments.
In addition to his project leadership, Mr. Shakespeare is deeply committed to mentorship and workforce development. He created and teaches a lighting controls certification program at Power Design Inc., recognized as an industry first.
