Ms. Loreto's professional journey is further distinguished by her work with an Venezuelan law firm, where she represented clients in high-stakes cases involving multinational interests. This assignment required extensive travel to remote locations accessible only by helicopter or boat, marking her as the first white female lawyer to practice in that area for many years. Additionally, between 2019 and 2021, Ms. Loreto served as a consultant to several U.S.-based law firms in matters related to safeguarding Venezuelan assets abroad. In connection with the lawful exercise of their professional duties, Venezuelan lawyers involved later faced judicial measures, including deprivation of liberty and asset restrictions, under the regime governing Venezuela at that time.

Possessing a strong academic background, Ms. Loreto earned her law degree in Venezuela, equivalent to a Juris Doctor in the United States, followed by a Master's degree in Administrative Law and a Doctor of Law (Ph.D.) at the Central University of Venezuela. She completed postgraduate studies in Constitutional Law at the University of Salamanca, served as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, pursued advanced studies at Harvard Law School, received ICC training in mediation in Paris, and earned an LL.M. in International Arbitration from the University of Miami in 2025.

Throughout her career, Ms. Loreto has maintained active membership in several prominent professional organizations, including the Caracas Bar Association, the Venezuelan Arbitration Association, the Venezuelan Association of Administrative Law, the International Arbitration Society and the Latin American Arbitration Society.
