ENDICOTT, NY, January 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Meghan Dougherty has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Dougherty is a leading expert in defense, aerospace and supply chain management and has earned recognition for her innovative approach and commitment to supporting small businesses within these sectors. Her career is defined by a series of progressive leadership roles and entrepreneurial ventures that underscore her deep dedication to advancing the interests of both large defense clients and emerging suppliers. Notably, Ms. Dougherty launched SourceBoard™ in 2025, and she serves as the firm's chief executive officer.

In her leadership capacity, Ms. Dougherty manages day to day operations and strategic planning. She works closely with major defense clients seeking specialized capabilities and assists small business suppliers in expanding their market opportunities. SourceBoard™ was conceived to address the capital-intensive nature of the aerospace and defense acquisition and business development cycle by providing a platform where buyers in the defense, manufacturing and aerospace industries can post their needs exclusively for United States small businesses to bid on. Ms. Dougherty's vision is for SourceBoard™ to become the preeminent business-to-business transaction platform within these critical sectors.

Before establishing SourceBoard™, Ms. Dougherty founded CoExcel Solutions in 2024, where she remains the acting president. Through this entrepreneurial venture, she became a sought-after resource for small businesses aiming to develop their operations and secure partnerships with large defense industry primes. Ms. Dougherty's insight into the challenges faced by small enterprises—particularly the lengthy and resource-intensive business development cycles—led her to curate solutions that bridge gaps between suppliers and large industry players.

In her small business roles, Ms. Dougherty relies on experience gained through a substantial tenure with Lockheed Martin. Prior to resigning from her role at Lockheed Martin to pursue her entrepreneurial endeavors she served as the strategic sourcing manager for the Under Seas Warfare business market segment, building on her reputation as a "firefighter" who excelled at resolving complex issues and supporting critical supplier relationships both domestically and internationally. She also helped ensure that essential technology reached end users efficiently. Between 2018 and 2024, Ms. Dougherty excelled as a leader of multiple subcontract management teams across the Lockheed Martin C6ISR division spending most of those years leading the supply chain strategy for multiple critical electronic warfare programs and pursuits and played a pivotal part in driving operational excellence across multiple projects.

From 2016 to 2018, Ms. Dougherty held roles as a subcontract administrator, providing her with foundational expertise in procurement processes and supplier negotiations and later program manager at Lockheed Martin overseeing project execution and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer objectives for U.S. and International customers.

One of Ms. Dougherty's most significant professional accomplishments occurred when she led Lockheed Martin's first value engineering initiative. By proposing that certain technologies be brought in-house, she secured capital investment funding that resulted in $40 million in savings for the government over four years, a move that set a new precedent within the organization and delivered substantial value to the Army. Before joining Lockheed Martin from 2007 to 2016 she gained valuable experience serving in multiple roles such as a client program manager, public relations coordinator, adjunct accounting instructor and finally Branch Manager at Adecco Group where she achieved significant success resulting in triple digit profit and revenue growth earning her corporate recognition as a rising star.

Before launching her professional career, a passion for continuous learning prompted Ms. Dougherty to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She attributes her success to strong soft skills, an unwavering sense of urgency and a willingness to embrace challenges head-on. Ms. Dougherty is also known for her integrity and ability to consistently provide accurate data, forging sustained relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers alike.

Ms. Dougherty is also dedicated to civic service and volunteers her time as a workshop presenter at multiple entrepreneurial and start-up accelerator programs including those for New Energy New York. She also participates in the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator Program at Binghamton University and serves as a leadership council member representing New York State Congressional District 19 with the National Small Business Association. Her many meaningful contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including the Long-Term Incentive Award from Lockheed Martin in 2021, the "20 in their 20s" Award from Southern Tier Opportunities Coalition in 2013, and a recognition Award from the U.S. Army for her critical subcontract management work on the Apache Program.

Ms. Dougherty is a dedicated mother of four children, with whom she enjoys camping and vacationing whenever possible. Looking toward the future, she aims to scale SourceBoard™ into the premier sourcing ecosystem within the United States, accelerating and streamlining acquisition, strengthening America's supply chain and the Defense Industrial Base, and connecting thousands of U.S. small and diverse businesses with revenue-generating opportunities through an efficient and effective platform. Additionally, Ms. Dougherty envisions establishing corporate headquarters within her community while growing employment opportunities, and she aspires to become an angel investor who supports small business manufacturers and service providers across various capacities.
