He is recognized for his ability to coordinate multiple patient visits simultaneously, often seeing three to four children every 30 to 60 minutes. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Ukich manages business operations, collaborating with the office manager on financials and administrative tasks while maintaining a high standard of service.

Dr. Ukich's approach to pediatric dentistry is both innovative and wholistic. The Pediatric Dental Center of North Idaho integrates traditional Western medicine with Eastern principles, creating individualized treatment plans that address each child's unique needs in a stress-free environment. He is particularly noted for his focus on airway-centric orthodontics, addressing skeletal malformations early, sometimes beginning treatment as young as three years old, to prevent future airway issues and support optimal facial development alongside dental alignment.

With two locations in Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint, Dr. Ukich has cultivated strong relationships with local specialists and general dental practices, ensuring a comprehensive referral system for children transitioning out of pediatric care. He is also the current treasurer for the Idaho Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ukich's professional affiliations include fellow status with the American College of Dentists and diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. His academic foundation began with a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in biblical studies from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, in 1996. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2001, and then completed a two-year pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Ukich attributes his success to a humble approach grounded in Christian faith, emphasizing service over recognition and striving to use his talents for the benefit of others, values that have shaped both his personal life and professional achievements.

Born in Augsburg, Dr. Ukich enjoys an active lifestyle outside his practice, spending time with his twin sons, biking, mountain biking, participating in triathlons such as Ironman 2005, playing tennis, snow skiing, and hiking.
