EAST AMHERST, NY, January 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David P. Millenbaugh has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Millenbaugh's distinguished career of more than five decades in the glass manufacturing industry is marked by a steady progression through increasingly complex and influential roles, culminating in a global legacy of operational excellence. After retiring from his full-time position in 2009 as the manufacturing improvement manager at O-I (formerly known as Owens-Illinois) — a leading worldwide producer of glass bottles and jars — he was soon called back to consult for the company.
This consulting role enabled Mr. Millenbaugh to travel extensively as he lent his expertise to major improvement, rebuild and expansion projects across North America, Mexico, New Zealand and China. Notably, beginning in 2014, he led a team at the O-I and Constellation Brands plant in Mexico, supporting Corona and Modelo beer bottle production and later serving as commissioning manager for the plant's expansion. Under his guidance, the facility became one of the largest and best-performing glass factories globally.
Prior to his consulting journey, Mr. Millenbaugh spent more than 35 years at O-I working in a series of pivotal roles. He began his tenure in the industry at age 20 as an apprentice forming machine operator in container glass manufacturing, producing beer bottles, food jars and other consumer containers. After completing a journeyman program and spending seven years at the company's Brockport, New York, plant, he transferred to Toano, Virginia in 1979. During this time, he progressed from operator to line production specialist and then shift foreman, overseeing beer bottle production.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, California, Mr. Millenbaugh excelled as a forming supervisor before being promoted to production manager in Portland, Oregon. He returned to Los Angeles to manage production across forming, mold and machine repair as well as batch and furnace operations. As his responsibilities expanded, he undertook further assignments in Pomona and Oakland before being appointed plant manager in Tracy, California, and later again in Los Angeles.
Mr. Millenbaugh's expertise led to an international assignment as an industrial director in Brazil, where he oversaw multiple glass container plants, a mining operation and a mold manufacturing facility that supplied global operations. After four years abroad, he returned to lead O-I Canada Corporation as a manufacturing manager, revitalizing six struggling plants across the country.
Subsequently promoted to vice president and global glass technology process engineering manager in Perrysburg, Ohio, Mr. Millenbaugh directed global technical services and coordination for glass operations. He went on to serve as vice president and North America area manufacturing manager at O-I, overseeing eight separate factories until his retirement from full-time roles.
Throughout his career, Mr. Millenbaugh earned numerous job recognitions and promotions that underscored his contributions to the manufacturing industry. Though his journey counts many milestones, he is most proud of his journey from apprentice operator to senior leadership positions over more than five decades — a period during which he witnessed the evolution of technology from fully mechanical machines that required significant physical effort to the streamlined and computer-controlled systems of today.
Mr. Millenbaugh's educational foundation was established at Swanton High School in Ohio. During his final two years there, he attended Penta County Tech School and focused his studies on electronics. Reflecting on his life and career, he attributes his success to working with accomplished professionals at O-I, maintaining a strong work ethic and making significant sacrifices. He is also immensely grateful for the love and support of his family, which was equally vital in shaping his career trajectory.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Millenbaugh has demonstrated civic commitment through service as a board member for Creekwood Meadows, where he manages architectural landscaping and maintenance initiatives.
In his personal life, Mr. Millenbaugh continues to maintain an active lifestyle through traveling and working out; he previously played golf recreationally. Happily married for more than 50 years, he and his wife Sharon have raised three children — Jennifer, Christine and Scott — and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Millenbaugh remains dedicated to continuing his contributions within the manufacturing industry while providing support wherever possible. He is also devoted to assisting his children and grandchildren as they pursue their own paths forward, encouraging them to follow their dreams and help others through everything they do. His legacy within manufacturing and beyond is one of leadership, continuous learning, family values and an unwavering commitment to service.
