GRAFTON, MA, January 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fr. Vasile Giulian Aileni has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Fr. Aileni currently serves as the parish priest at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury, a role he has held since 2022. In this capacity, he ministers to a congregation of approximately 50 families, conducting regular Sunday and weekday services, hearing confessions, performing baptisms, marriages and funerals, and leading catechism - educational programs. He is also responsible for working with American individuals seeking to convert to Orthodoxy and regularly serves the Divine Liturgy at a local "Holy Trinity" nursing home.

Since his arrival in Massachusetts, Fr. Aileni has distinguished himself by adapting quickly and effectively to leading a diverse parish community, a significant shift from his previous experience with an entirely Romanian congregation in Toronto, Canada. He has guided five individuals through conversion to Orthodoxy and is actively working with seven others. Fr. Aileni regards his ability to foster unity, devotion and spiritual growth among parishioners as one of his most notable achievements.

Prior to his current position, Fr. Aileni served as parish priest at "All Saints" Romanian Orthodox Church of Toronto from 2013 to 2022. During this period, he was recognized for guiding a spiritually troubled parish toward what he considers the most beautiful level of faith and community in the country. Through dedicated ministry and the support of his wife, he fostered unity and spiritual development among parishioners. Fr. Aileni's success was recognized by the Metropolitan, who asked him to assist another parish facing challenges, a call that led him and his family to relocate to Massachusetts.

Before entering the priesthood, Fr. Aileni worked as a quality assurance analyst at Ford Motor Company in Canada from 2007 to 2016. In this role, he applied his technical expertise in information technology while simultaneously pursuing theological studies and preparing for ordination.

Fr. Aileni's academic background is both diverse and comprehensive. He earned a bachelor's degree from The Theological University in Sibiu, Romania, in 2011, which provided the foundation for his subsequent ordination as a priest in 2013. His prior education includes graduation from the police academy "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" in Romania and coursework at law school, which further broadened his perspective and skill set. Additionally, Fr. Aileni completed computer courses that enabled him to work as an IT consultant prior to his ecclesiastical career.

The path to priesthood was not initially planned; Fr. Aileni entered ministry following strong encouragement from his spiritual Father and His Eminence Nicolae, Archbishop of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of the United States of America and Metropolitan of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas.

Upon ordination, he made a solemn promise to serve both God and people in this order only, a responsibility he approaches with deep sincerity. He credits the grace of God and his unwavering commitment to service as central factors in his professional journey. The moment parishioners began showing reverence by kissing his hand marked a profound turning point for Fr. Aileni, instilling in him a heightened sense of accountability and dedication.

Beyond his ministerial duties, Fr. Aileni is actively involved with several civic-minded organizations, including the Food Pantry, Holy Trinity Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Mustard Seed. Looking ahead, he intends to continue expanding the St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church community, both numerically and spiritually, while upholding its core mission of service and faith within Massachusetts' diverse population.
